It’s OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays


It’s OK…

… to literally be afraid of walking past ducks for fear of them chasing and biting you with that long bill thing they have (on a run, I literally slow down and farther distance myself so I don’t scare them… they own me!)

… to not be happy about the way work does scheduling

… to go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 5am (probably the longest amount of sleep in a while!)

… to contemplate using this extra hour to work out, then decide against it because you don’t have any clean sports bras, so instead… you will come straight home from work, do laundry, THEN workout (at least that’s the plan!)

… to not blog all week because there was no inspiration (why make people read something you don’t even like?!)

… to still have a few things up your sleeve for a blog post, but to be a little too lazy this week to do it

… to be super nervous now about the Disney Princess Half-Marathon (Am I ready? Will my outfit be cute? Will I even finish? How is my eating this week? Do I have enough water in me? I still need some compression shorts, will I find those on Saturday? Can I get it in under 2:30? ENDLESS QUESTIONS!)

… to finally get a weekend that is normal to everyone else (Saturday and Sunday off this week!)

… to already know that you don’t want to extend your work at Disney World, but you are ready to go home because you miss everyone so much and don’t think this is the place for you long term (but still 100% feel like it was the right choice for right now!)

… to be in a blah mood today

One Week Away! YIKES!

My sister is going to kill me, ya’ll! (Did I just sound like Paula Deen?.. probably!)  I have been promising her a How I Met Your Mother post and I promise, IT IS COMING!  If there are any fans out there, be sure to look for that post coming this week- I have some fabulous finds!

I wanted to take today to post about the Disney Princess Half-Marathon though, it is literally LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY NOW!  I’m a little nervous for a few reasons… 1. I haven’t even gotten in a really good long run since my last Half at the beginning of January! (most I’ve done is FOUR, pathetic!)  2. I have had such a rough week at work the past 2 weeks that I haven’t been eating all that great either.  So I went to the store today and stocked up on some healthy food choices for while I’m at work and while I’m at home, I wanted to share some new finds with you!

Boca Burgers
Nature Valley Protein bars

Hummus with Pretzels, yes! My new favorite snack item right here!

Easy dinner with good protein… frozen already cooked chicken!
Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials (Lemon Pepper for me please!)

And this has been a favorite for a LONG time, not something new to me, but Nick and I love making this bean corn dip thing (we don’t really have a name for it) but we got the recipe from his brother and it’s our go-to healthy snack!

2 cans Rotel, drained (diced tomatoes with green chiles)
2 cans Black beans, drained
2 cans white shoepeg corn, drained
1/2 bottle of Italian dressing (we usually go fat free for extra healthy!)
some diced green onions (depending on how much you like the flavor, we like a lot!)

Mix it all together and enjoy with some tortilla chips
Our favorite find are the blue corn tortilla chips

It’s OK Thursday!

I love Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK…

… to feel like a rockstar because you have 30 followers now and that seems like a lot!

… to wait and do a complete post on gifts/prizes you’ve gotten recently because holy cow you’ve gotten a lot and feel super blessed because of it!

… to be on your 10th day straight of work because you are FINALLY getting paid overtime! yippee!

… to save all your tip money for special gifts/trips for yourself

… to eat cereal as a complete meal… very often! (like right now, for dinner!)

… to not have to go grocery shopping because rich people who stay at your hotel leave you lots of food when they checkout

… to worry more about what your going to wear at the Disney Princess Half-Marathon (so you look adorable and well… like a princess) than worry about whether or not your trained up!

… to feel a little bit psycho because you seriously want to travel and meet so many bloggers you follow because it feels like they should be your best friend, right now!

… to finally start reading the Harry Potter series (I know people, I’m light years behind! Wait for the real shocker… haven’t read Twilight or Hunger Games either! OMG, did you just pass out on the floor?)

… to expect that the Harry Potter books will make you a little more interested in seeing the movies

… to be counting down the days for special visitors in Orlando!

… to clean your room, let it get a mess, then devote a day to cleaning it again.. and let the cycle continue
