It’s OK…
… to literally be afraid of walking past ducks for fear of them chasing and biting you with that long bill thing they have (on a run, I literally slow down and farther distance myself so I don’t scare them… they own me!)
… to not be happy about the way work does scheduling
… to go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 5am (probably the longest amount of sleep in a while!)
… to contemplate using this extra hour to work out, then decide against it because you don’t have any clean sports bras, so instead… you will come straight home from work, do laundry, THEN workout (at least that’s the plan!)
… to not blog all week because there was no inspiration (why make people read something you don’t even like?!)
… to still have a few things up your sleeve for a blog post, but to be a little too lazy this week to do it
… to be super nervous now about the Disney Princess Half-Marathon (Am I ready? Will my outfit be cute? Will I even finish? How is my eating this week? Do I have enough water in me? I still need some compression shorts, will I find those on Saturday? Can I get it in under 2:30? ENDLESS QUESTIONS!)
… to finally get a weekend that is normal to everyone else (Saturday and Sunday off this week!)
… to already know that you don’t want to extend your work at Disney World, but you are ready to go home because you miss everyone so much and don’t think this is the place for you long term (but still 100% feel like it was the right choice for right now!)
… to be in a blah mood today
What’s OK with you today?
I feel ya on the blog thing! I have lots of ideas, but just no motivation to take the time to do it!
Love that your doing the Disney Princess Half! You’ll do amazing, don’t even sweat it! ๐
I totally understand the duck thing. I was bitten by a dog while running once. It was a harmless looking Beagle that started chasing me, and I kept running, and it lunged at me and took a big chunk out of my leg. I still get really nervous when I see loose animals. I turn and do a growly thing (I don’t know why- someone told me running from them makes them chase you more). Usually it just confuses them so much they stare at me while I run away.
I have always wanted to do the Disney Princess Half! Have fun!
Hahahaha, my sister was attacked by a duck and a goose at the park when she was little. She now has an extraordinary fear of birds ๐
And I’m so jealous of you doing the Disney Princess half!! I wanna!
awww- you’llb e fine darlin! You’re doing great! I’m excited to se your blog post! your blog is super cute ๐
We miss you to sweetie! Do make sure you keep hydrating all day everyday until the race, this is sooooooo important. It’s okay to not place a time limit on yourself in completing the 1/2 marathon, the important thing is that you finish and not hurt yourself doing it. That would not be good at all! We love you and are praying for you to keep on persevering in this journey.
Love,
MOM
