It’s OK Thursday! YAY!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK…

… to choose sitting on the couch in my robe with a cup of wonderful hot coffee watching Boy Meets World over getting my lazy butt to the gym!

… that I actually don’t think that’s ok.. I’m feeling a little guilt over cheating myself out of a great workout

… that I’ll choose to work out tonight or tomorrow

… that I love the fact that Boy Meets World will spin off to Girl Meets World (woo hoo!)

… to have the Christmas tree up now! yay!!!

… to seriously hate how SMALL your little apartment living room is when Christmas comes around and you want your tree to fit near the window.

… to feel really far behind on all the holiday things you wanted to have ready by Dec. 1st!

… be so excited about all the cheesy holiday movies I’ll be watching throughout December on ABC family and Hallmark!

… to love girls nights, like tonight with the continuation of our DIY project!

… to also love love love Date nights with dinner and Harry Potter or HIMYM or Disney Movies!

… to be more than happy that my Spanish I class is basically over

… to be shocked yet ecstatic that I made a 94 on my last Spanish I test (I felt the least prepared for it too!)

… to enter into {Brunch With Amber’s 1000 follower giveaway} because I’m one of her fabulous followers!! Heck Yea!

Happy Thursday sweet friends!

I’m on a DIY kick!

I’m getting pretty impressed with myself, I’m not gonna lie.  Do you ever find yourself pinning a gazillion DIY projects that you just HAVE to try and then well… let’s be real, it’s been a while since pinterest was first opened up and I’d take a wild guess that, like me, you haven’t done even one or two of those projects yet!  That’s where I’ve been until recently.  I’m on a tight budget, so my projects are moving slowly, but I’m impressed that I’ve done any of them! I did my {Date Night Jar} and now I’m actually in the process of working on this lovely project!

That is of course going to be a Mississippi.  I started on this little project last night with two sweet friends.  Mine is that beautiful turquoise you see, Brooke chose a yellow like sunshine, and Jamey went with Maroon (our school color).

I’m getting on this huge kick of wanting to do tons of DIY and wanting to bake.  For Christmas I’m asking for a lot of baking goods!  At the moment, since I have a limited budget, I’m trying to find inexpensive projects.  I’m also going to be in the works for my very first advent calendar this week.  Another DIY project!  I’m telling you, I’m super impressed with myself because I’m actually doing something with these boards I have on pinterest!  It really gives you a feeling of accomplishment!
There will of course be some step-by-steps posted on the blog once my projects are done! Hope you lovely wonderful people are having an exceptional Wednesday, we’re half-way to Friday! I know you’re excited too!

How many pinterest projects have you actually done?
What keeps you from doing them?

Welcome Monday!

Good Morning fabulous bloggers!! I’m not gonna lie, I’ve felt MIA… it was Thanksgiving and I was in Atlanta and I had a lot of post ideas in my planner, but just didn’t find the time to handle it, so I’m back, yay! Figured I’d just go through some points of what went on over Thanksgiving and what I have planned for the week!

{Thanksgiving Meal}
I had TWO thanksgivings this year.  Thursday we had it at my Nanny’s (my dad’s side) and then Saturday we had it at my Aunts (mom’s side) and my grandparents came down from Kentucky.  It was a week filled with LOTS of family and LOTS of food.

{My fat pants}
Yeah, after that many meals, I feel like I need some of those.  By the end of the week, I felt like I gained 20 pounds when I put on my jeans!  This week will be devoted to running and eating healthy so I can feel like a normal human being again and not a massive cow!

{Running}
Despite all the food I ate, I was able to get in 2 runs while out of town, I would have liked more, but it was a busy busy week.  On Thanksgiving Day, my parents, sisters, me, aunt, and 2nd cousin all went on a run/walk.  My aunt took us to this beautiful area and with fall in the air, the leaves were beautiful and I took the most amazing pictures!  You can see those down in my instagram pics from the week.

{Work}
I meant to do a few hours of work while I was out of town, I should have known better, so this week I’ll be working on overdrive and after the break, I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do.

{Shopping}
My sisters and I found some really great finds in ATL.  We didn’t do high-end shopping or anything, but we found this amazing place called clothes-mentor and they have very nice stuff for reasonable prices, it’s like a higher-end consignment shop.  We loved it! I found a few great pieces, I tried to limit myself, my sister on the other hand found TONS of stuff!

{This Week}
DIY project: post to follow
New crock-pot recipe
Grey’s Anatomy
Planning for Advent Activities
Decorating for Christmas

Going home to spend time with old friends!
