It’s time for another round of It’s OK Thursday, I decided to change it up a bit since it is Thanksgiving and it’s a day to be thankful for MANY MANY things….
So here’s my edition:
It’s OK to be thankful…
… for having the opportunity to be with my family in Atlanta today
… that I have the body/legs/strength to be a runner and enjoy it
… that I have some amazing friends!
… that me and my sisters have good relationships
… for technology, how else would I have this little ol’ blog?
… for chocolate! amen!
… for supportive parents
… that I have a family that hasn’t been torn apart by divorce or death
… to have food to eat
… to have a shelter to sleep under that keeps me warm and dry
… to have access to clean water
… that I have health insurance
… for a wonderful coffee maker that greets me every morning
… for this blog, it’s grown slowly but surely and I’m so thankful for the friends I’ve made, the opportunity to be honest and open with y’all and an outlet for myself when I feel like I’m going crazy inside!
… the option to take a small break on the blog, sometimes you just need that! Sorry i’ve been MIA for a few days though!
Dear Friday, you’re going to be busy at work today but I’m really excited about everything going on! Dear presentation today, please be nice… I get really nervous presenting in front of a large group of people, especially a large group of highschool students who still judge with every fiber of their being! YIKES! Dear coffee, you’re seemingly ok despite the fact that I ran out of creamer yesterday and haven’t been to the store, looks like soy chocolate milk and some sugar does its job! Dear Thanksgiving break, you’re so close and I’m so excited to spend it in Atlanta with family! Dear followers, I always want to thank you for following along, you’re super fabulous! Dear southern blogger meet-up, woot-woot! I’m a little overly excited about it, is that weird? Dear new triathlon club in Starkville, I hate that we missed the meeting last night, but I’m looking forward to future meetings. I think this is going to be a super great thing for us! Dear McBeath family, I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m keeping y’all in my prayers, Mrs. Joell was the most inspiring person and the strongest fighter I’ve ever had the honor of knowing! Dear weekend, joy oh joy! You’re going to be relaxing!
… to wonder if something is wrong with my blogger commenting because I haven’t gotten a single comment in what feels like a week!
… to think that maybe my posts weren’t as great as I thought lol
… to figure that every blogger goes through that phase so it’s really nothing to worry about
… to ask that if you have in fact tried to comment in the last week and I haven’t replied to you, to please let me know by e-mailing me at heatherblack79@gmail.com because I still worry that something may be wrong with my commenting
Now.. on to non-blogging
… to feel like this week you were on top of your game at work
… to love the international delight peppermint mocha creamer
… to be really excited that since you just ran out of it, you have an excuse to try the white chocolate raspberry flavor!
… to LOVE the fact that your boyfriend just surprised you with Disney’s Greatest Hits CD’s!
…. to be reconsidering your trip to Disney because you may decide to go work there again in August (even though you complained about how awful working there was, a professional internship probably isn’t as bad)
… to instead prefer to spend money going somewhere you haven’t been before
… but then again, Disney is great…
… to have yogurt covered pretzels for breakfast because you didn’t have time for a real breakfast
… to contemplate if spending 50 dollars is worth it this year on an EC planner (my budget is slim y’all!)
… to really want to try Maybooks though
… to love the fact that it’s Thursday and that I have a lot going on at wor
k today and tomorrow so I won’t get the urge to slack at the end of the week like I usually do!
… to be excited about a Saturday filled with cleaning and catching up on reading blogs and of course coffee and candles!
