Where is this life going?

Do you ever feel like THAT!?

Sometimes I wonder where my life is going and what I’m doing.  I realize I’m only 23 years old, and I’m suppose to have my whole life ahead of me still, but what if you don’t?  You hear about people who are unexpectedly gone at any age and it’s heartbreaking.  Did they live their life to the fullest?  Did they get to do everything they wanted to do in life?

I’m thinking through what my new years resolutions are going to be, and I want 2013 to be remembered.  I want to accomplish a lot of my 100 in 1001 goals, I want to see beauty in every day life, the type of beauty that stops you in your tracks and makes you smell, see, and hear everything around you at that precise moment.  I have a lot of goals for my life and a lot of career paths I want to take… will I get that chance?  More importantly, will I take that chance once I see it?

There are a lot of things in my past that I’m like “geez, what was I thinking? (kind of like the above)”.  I hate the fact that I didn’t take full advantage of living at Disney World, I missed a lot of opportunities at the park and spending time with friends because I was more concerned with getting the program over with so I could get back home, getting proper amount of sleep so I could work as much as possible, now that I look back on it, it was ridiculous!  I didn’t take advantage of that great opportunity until the last month and I regret that. That’s my most recent experience and the one I relate to the most at the moment, but there are no doubt others…

Are there things you regret not making the most of?
Is this something you think about often?
Do you feel like you’re missing out on the beauty of life sometimes?

I’m working on improving my quality of life by enjoying every moment to it’s fullest.  I don’t always suceed, in fact, I rarely succeed, but that’s my personal goal for 2013.  I realize it’s a little early to discuss and I’ll probably bring it up again, but why wait until January, why not start NOW!?

My Holiday To-Do List!

My original plan was to do an advent calendar and I feel way far behind on creating one.  I wanted an inexpensive one due to my budget presently, but I also wanted it to be cute.  So, I ended up with zilch because I didn’t take the time to create something.  Here is my holiday list and most of these will be things that I invite friends over for!

1. Decorate Christmas Cookies
2. Watch a Christmas movie with hot chocolate
3. Throw a Christmas Party
4. Make gingerbread houses
5. Decorate for Christmas
6. Write letters to soldiers oversees during Christmas
7. Make a list of new years resolutions
8. Attend a Christmas Party
9. Play in the snow (if it snows!)
10. Send Christmas gifts to my roommates!
11. Leave a gift in the mailbox for my mailperson

Next year, I plan on being more on the ball with my advent calendar, but these goals will do for now!

I mentioned that there would be lots of changes on the blog coming soon.  I slacked off a little towards the end of November on my blogging, but once I reach 100 GFC followers, I’ll be doing my very first giveaway and getting a new look!  I also promised a vlog a while back, and that will be here shortly as well.  Sorry folks, I keep saying things and not going through with them!  Have a happy December and wonderful holiday season!!  Can’t wait to see all the recipes y’all try, the projects you DIY, and the presents you get!

Dear Boy Meets World, I love watching you in the morning and it’s only appropriate to mention the Girl Meets World spin-off AGAIN, because that’s how awesome that’s going to be!  Dear Warm Coffee, oh I love thee.  Dear Roomies, I miss you beautiful ladies more than you know!  Reunion SOON!  Dear Patty and Makayla, I can’t wait to come home solely to visit you lovely women.  This semester has been busy and I haven’t had a chance to come home often and spend time with y’all, I’m looking forward to some real bonding.  Dear Spanish I, I really enjoyed your class, but I’m so happy it’s over!  Just my oral final and paper final and it’s over!  Dear new fitness challenge, boy did I need you!! This past week has been LAZY with it being so stinkin’ cold and me not being able to get my butt out of bed.  Dear Mississippi DIY String Project, you turned out WONDERFUL!! I actually have a really great gift idea for someone now.  I loved the colors I picked out too!  Dear tiny tiny apartment, please just expand like everything does in Harry Potter world when Christmas comes along and I need to fit my tree in here!
