10 on 10 Monday!

Hello friends!! I wish I could say that last week I was productive on the blog and scheduled y’all some posts for the weekend… I’d be lying though!  I left town Friday for Houston, TX to visit with my cousin because her little baby boy was getting baptized.  It was so important to me that I could be there during that special time!  He’s an angel y’all, not even lying! I cried like a little baby myself when I had to leave yesterday afternoon.  Needless to say, due to a VERY short visit, I spent as much time with family as I could so I didn’t do any blogging while there and again, didn’t schedule any posts.  I still have some promises I’ve made about posts in the future, I’ll get there!

I was debating what I could talk about today and ran into this little link-up!  I’m linking up with Amy @ The Charming Blog for the first time!  Go check her out and link-up too!

It took me a second to figure out how this link-up worked, but you just go and copy the questions she has and answer them!

  1. I love the holidays because of the cold weather, hot chocolate, winter accessories, and decorations!
  2. When it’s a cold day outside, I just want to sip on hot chocolate (or coffee) with a blanket over my lap reading or watching FRIENDS!
  3. I’m secretly hoping I get kitchen-aid stand mixer or food processor for Christmas/Hanukkah but I know that’s only in my dreams, so a new planner would be great.
  4. The person that’s the hardest to shop for: everyone! I’m the worst! I try to pick-up on hints and I usually have a mental list in my head, but I have the WORST memory, so then I forget when it’s time to go shopping and rack my brain with no success… my poor boyfriend, he’s the best gift giver (seriously have loved every gift ever received) and he’s stuck with me, the worst!
  5. The person I finished shopping for first: my dad, by coincidence.
  6. I started / will start shopping: started a few weeks ago, but haven’t gotten very far, hope to finish by this weekend!
  7. My favorite holiday memory was when — my family and I went to Atlanta a few years ago.  It snowed!  We played in the snow, went to the park and went ice skating, shared presents, it was great!
  8. The best holiday tradition that we have is opening one present on Christmas eve, it’s our oldest and the main we that happens every year!
  9. I plan on ending the year with a bang / whisper by ? I have no idea what I’m doing for the end of the year to bring in the new! The past two years were complete opposites so who knows!
  10. During the holidays you can find me spending time with family and friends more than likely at home (my parents) or a local coffee shop.

Happy Thursday: It’s OK!

Its Ok Thursdays

Good Morning friends, I’m back for another round of It’s OK Thursday!

It’s OK…

… to watch boy meets world every morning

… to love my pretty poinsetta in the living room

… to be filled with holiday cheer because it’s feeling looking a lot like Christmas around here! (It’s 70 degrees in Mississippi yo! ridiculous!)

… to be ecstatic about traveling to Houston this weekend for a very short trip because it means I at least get to see some of my favorite people in the world!

… to have 2 posts I need to publish, they are not written yet, but I may schedule them for this weekend.

… to feel awful because I fell behind on sending my ornament for the ornament swap, I’m usually not this terrible and I feel awful!  It’s going out today, PROMISE!!  Please don’t keep me from other swaps!

… to feel like December snuck up and smacked me in the face, I didn’t get to do a lot of the stuff I planned

… to wish I could create such a successful link-up!

… to wish I knew all you fabulous ladies IRL!

… to want to experiment with crafting ideas over the holiday break!  Y’all may see a changed woman in the new year!

… to be stressed about something that I need to just let go of, so I’m asking for prayer on an unspoken request, thanks friends!

… to comment on an instagram photo immediately when you wake up, then immediately realize that it was not the person you thought it was who posted that photo and find no way to delete your comment… so you must leave another one explaining

… to be excited about getting a new blog design when I reach 100 followers!  If you like what you read, follow along! 🙂

Happy Thursday sweet friends!!
Look for my Mississippi String Art Post and my Christmas Cookie Decorating Party post this weekend!

Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday! {DIY addition}

As y’all know, I’m getting in this pinterest kick.  Friends and I are trying to do a new pinterest project every two weeks, so let me know which are your favorites.  I’ve already done the string art project and the date night jar and those went great, so I’m excited to get started on these!

I’d love to learn how to crochet and be able to make these adorable things and give them away for presents!

I have some left over wood from my papa’s shed that I’d love to use for this project!

This would look great in a vintage inspired kitchen, I don’t necessarily have one of those, but I’d love to create this project and use it in the future.
