7 Deadly Sins… Aren’t you curious!?

I decided to link-up with this fun Halloween post today with Whispering Sweet Nothings.  If you click on her name then you can see the 7 Deadly sins post and get the code you need to write your own!  Hurry, link-up ends October 31st!

seven great things in your life.
1.  Family and Friends.  I am honestly amazed that I have some of the most wonderful people in my life.
2. blogging
3. my sweet little puppy and his unending love for me
4. being active: running, biking, and more!
5. God and his forgiveness, love, and discipline.
6. Free Time to do what I want and love.  Even though I wish I had a job, I try to find joy in this season of my life where I can travel when I want, blog when I want, workout when I want, and do whatever I want to do.
7. Fall… I just LOVE this time of year, it brings back wonderful memories, but I also find myself making more great memories that normal when the weather is as perfect as it is when it’s Fall.

seven things you lack and covet.
1. A job and success
2. Money – due to #1.
3. A fast metabolism… a natural knack for fitness
4. sports bras… I have some, but I’m too cheap right now to purchase great quality ones to hold the ladies with great support.
5. Living at Disney.  I definitely took my time there for granted and I miss it every day now.
6. an expensive camera
7. Thousands of followers on the blog.

seven things that make you angry.
1. Idiotic drivers… like the lady who pulled out in front of Nick last night and didn’t even acknowledge his long-drawn honk of the horn and didn’t even care that she was being an idiot… I literally wanted to get out and punch her in the face.  I experience a lot of road rage for people like that.  I would NEVER be their friend… they are jerks.
2. People who continue to be late to everything…
3. Rape/Sexual Assault & Abuse
4. People who complain about something that they have complete power in changing, but don’t do anything to change.
5. Slow computers
6. Editing video from my iphone with my PC
7. Bloggers who bash or talk negatively of other bloggers ideas and posts they create.

seven things that you neglect to do.
1. Follow through with some of my blog post promises.
2. workout daily
3. take my dog on a walk every day, even though I have plenty of time to do so
4. wash my face every night.
5. eat vegan like I desire…
6. Apply for jobs as often as I should be doing right now.
7. Finding Happiness and Joy in my circumstances

seven worldly material desires.
1. My own place.
2. A new EC planner
3. A fancy camera
4. an unlimited amount of clothes and workout clothes
5. A new computer
6. A new car… although I’m a little obsessed with my car.   It’s getting close to the end.
7. Arbonne beauty products

seven guilty pleasures.
1. Grey’s Anatomy
2. Cleaning my ears with Q-tips.
3. Disney World!
4. Coffee
5. Cakes, Pies, Candies… sweets.
6. Blogging
7. Makes lists for lists.  Planning to plan.

seven things you love about love.
1. Laughter
2. Encouragement
3. Hugs upon hugs upon hugs
4. Support
5. Always having someone to do something with
6. Always having someone to share exciting news with who will be excited for/with you

Kitchen Mix-Up {A VLOG!}

KitchenMixUp

I hopped on board with this fun link-up hosted by Meg & Amanda!
Each month, they’ll reveal some secret ingredients for you to make a recipe out of.  I’m not sure if I’m following the rules because I don’t technically have a recipe…

Watch my video… or don’t… whatever.  Seriously though… it’d make my day if you watched it!  I’ll do a little small re-cap below the video just in case.

Subscribe to my channel… seriously, do!  You can click the icon below.

You won’t be sorry!! I’ll be using You Tube to document the majority of my Disney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon trip in a few weeks as well as giving tutorials for the holidays!  Don’t miss out, mmkay!?

Like the video?  Give it a thumbs up!

Here’s the rundown of what happened in my Kitchen this week.
1. I bought necessary ingredients: apples, cinnamon, cream cheese, and butterscotch (err.. caramels?)
2. I concocted a simple idea in my head for the recipe
{Here is the recipe part}
3. I saute’d the apples in butter, cinnamon, and sugar (didn’t measure it)
4. I flattened cinnamon rolls, topped them with the apple mixture, added some cream cheese, topped that with another flattened cinnamon roll.
5. Baked according to cinnamon roll directions, although I thought they were browning quicker, so I took them out a little earlier than package directed.
6. Dolloped cool whip on top and garnished with my butterscotch candy.
{End of very calculated recipe}
7. Had some nice people taste test
8. It got a 1.5 thumb up and a .5 thumb up.
9. The End.

If you watched it, I applaud and thank you!!
Working with these videos has been time consuming and frustrating, but fun!! I was excited to use the Kitchen Mix up to experiment with my camera and tripods as well as with video editing.  You can expect to see a lot more videos around here as well as on You Tube.  Some of my videos on You Tube will not be showing up on the blog, so be sure to subscribe to my channel!  Also, don’t be mean because I’m still learning (with editing and filming and transitioning from one clip to the next), yes… you can laugh at home in front of your computer screen, it’s bound to happen… but um, keep it to yourself! 🙂 Thanks friends!

Thank you Meg and Amanda for creating such a fun and exciting link-up!

Blogger {Vlogger} Crushing!

I have known for a long time that I have some crushes around here in blog land.  Maybe they aren’t best defined as “crushes”, but it seems easier to say and for the sake of this post, I will call them crushes.  In reality, these are just women who inspire me, encourage me, and/or bring humor or joy into my life from one post {or video} to the next who I would be honored to meet IRL.  These are women who kind of register as “celebrity” status with me because they have huge and successful blogs with large numbers of followers and they are in a place that I can only hope to be in one day when it comes to blogging.  Surely I’m not the only one out there who has a crush on fellow bloggers {or vloggers}.

If I had the opportunity to meet certain bloggers, at the top of my list would be Jennifer, Mandy, Bonnie, and Erin.  I have grown strangely attached to these women over the past few years, whether or not they even know I exist.  Jennifer has the most adorable little family and she’s a true southerner and totally speaks my language because of that!  Mandy is inspiring and fun.  I love what she works to bring into the blog world.  Bonnie and Erin are two of the funniest bloggers to read, they make me laugh, but they also bring to light difficult topics with blogging.  They’re real, they share the times when they get their feelings hurt (by other bloggers), but they’re good at staying positive and moving on.  I appreciate that in them.

Since I attended Blog Elevated, I’ve gained two new crushes out their in blog land… or should I say vlog land?  Jenny @ Jenny on the Spot {Her You Tube Channel}, spoke at Blog Elevated on vlogging and got me really excited about getting more involved in the vlogging community.  I’ve had a ton of ideas for vlogging and am learning to edit and film videos.

The other day I ordered some tripods to film my videos better.  I got a smaller one for counters, tables, and to easily carry with me.  I got the larger one for filming myself cooking in the kitchen or outside in the park.  They both arrived today and I’m so excited to get started with them tomorrow when I film something special for y’all!

If you’re interested in ordering these, they came at a very reasonable price and I’m extremely impressed with the quality to price ratio.  {These are Affiliate Links}I got the Case Star on the right because I was looking for an iphone mount for the tripod and luckily it came with smaller tripod and then I found the taller tripod for a really great price and it comes with an awesome bag carrier for it.

I proceeded to post the below picture on instagram {sorry if you’ve already seen this} where I shouted out to Jenny, letting her know that I loved her session on vlogging and I’m excited to use my new tripods that I ordered just so I could go from #bloggertovlogger.

After I posted to Jenny on Instagram, the most exciting thing happened… SHE FOLLOWED ME… AND LIKED MY PHOTO…. ANNNNDDDD COMMENTED!

But then… later in the evening, I was looking through some of her photos and saw Mama Kat {Her You Tube Channel}.  Jenny mentioned Mama Kat at Blog Elevated and I looked her up on You Tube immediately after Blog Elevated.  She instantly become a favorite with her clever, witty, and hilarious videos.  So when I saw her on instagram, I decided to follow her.  Then the most exciting thing happened…. literally 2 seconds later… SHE FOLLOWED ME BACK…. AND LIKED MY PHOTO… ANNNNDDDD COMMENTED!

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed with excitement.  This may seem crazy to you, but I felt like two celebrities just noticed me in a sea of people!  I squealed and freaked out and told the entire story to Nick and he pretended to be excited for me and everything!  These two ladies are now my vlogger crushes in vlog land.  My videos will probably never be as fun and hilarious as them because I don’t think I’m a very funny person, but I’m excited to “channel my inner Jenny and Kat” to become a real deal vlogger!
Do you think I’m crazy for having blog {vlog} crushes who I see as celebrities?
Do you have any blog {or vlog} crushes?  Who are they?  I’m always looking for great people to follow!
Now, lets just hope these sweet ladies don’t see me as “stalker status” because I let it out that I’m crushing on them and their blogs {or vlogs}.  I need to mention though, that before I even knew who Jenny was or how wonderful this woman could be, I sat right next to her at the conference and we even exchanged a few words.  HAD I KNOWN… how great she was then, I probably would have made that conversation last a little longer!  Next time I see her at a conference or if I’m ever in her neck of the woods… better believe I’ll do my best to take advantage of that opportunity!  She is so fun!
