Hi friends!! It’s been so long, I know! Just wanted to pop in and say hey! I hope everyone had a fabulous New Years! I joined some friends in Hattiesburg for a relaxing New Years (which was a huge change from last year!). I’m ONE WEEK out for my half-marathon this Saturday! I’m starting to get a little nervous. Hopefully all goes well. It’s going to be a difficult weekend since I’m doing the half-marathon and I’m also in a wedding on the same day! Wish me luck! I’m about two weeks out to heading off to Disney, I’m super excited about meeting my roommates and getting to know them better! Once I get out of this lazy phase of being home with the fam, I’ll kick blogging back up into high gear! Good luck with your 2012 resolutions!
It’s OK Thursday!

#84 Take flowers to my grandfathers grave
There isn’t much to say here except that my grandfather was an amazing man! I miss him a lot! I know people always say to find the silver lining in a crummy situation and my silver lining was building a relationship with my cousin during the time of our mourning. We got the call that my grandfather passed away while we were on our way to Atlanta to visit him. He was sick, so we knew it was coming soon, but I guess we expected to at least say our last goodbyes and to have the chance to hug him one last time. It was a very emotional time for our family, but I am forever grateful that it brought me and my cousin closer because she is one of my very best friends now! I was so honored to leave flowers at my grandfathers grave, it definitely made me feel closer to him.
Even though my parents married young and had kids young and that is not something I had nor have any desire to do at the moment, I am seriously grateful that I have had the opportunity to really get to know each one of my grandparents. Most of my friends grandparents had already passed away when they were children and they didn’t get the same opportunity I got, so I’m also thankful for that.
