Graduation!

I have been SO out of the blogging loop, when I come home, I just don’t take the time to keep up with it.  I promise, I’m going to try to do better!  I figured one thing everyone would probably enjoy are pictures from graduation.  I felt WAY SO SPECIAL because I had a ton of family come in to see me graduate: My cousin, Karla, my Nanny, my Mamal and Papal, My Aunt Karen, Uncle John, cousin Ashley, and cousin Megan, of course, my immediate family, and my boyfriend.  Lots of love on that day!  It was definitely an exciting time, but boy, am I glad it’s OVER! 🙂  I now officially have my degree from Mississippi State University in Marketing!  So here is some picture overload of the fabulous night!!  Be looking tomorrow for a post on completing one my 101 in 1001!

Overall, it was a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend!! I was blessed to have so many family and friends around me to celebrate this joyous occasion!  Now I’m off to Disney World in less than a month!

It’s OK…

… to have contemplated putting three posts into one today and then deciding to save your topics for days when you can’t think of anything to blog about

… to have not blogged in almost a week because you GRADUATED (whoo hoo!) and you’ve been out of town!

… to feel so weird about being an ‘alumni’ (yes, I need to go buy a t-shirt now!)

… to feel bad about not sending out any announcements about graduation

… to feel bad mainly because you’re missing out on free money for graduating by NOT sending out announcements

… to think about sending out LATE announcements about graduating and my offer at Disney (for hopes of getting a little extra cash!)

… to feel horrible for the last THREE things I said 

… to hope my parents decided to purchase me an Erin Condren address book (If you’re interested in receiving snail mail while I’m at Disney, this offer even goes to blogger friends, then e-mail me your address at heatherblack79@gmail.com)

… to not have a single present bought for Christmas because now you’re graduated and you have ALL THIS FREE TIME!

… to want to eat a bunch of junk food because you have a head/sinus cold and eating junk food is comforting (unfortunately!)

… to not have run in almost a week because of being busy with graduation and being out of town!

… to not feel like your “It’s OK” link up is all that great today and be a little sad about it!

Big Announcement: Introducing Facebook and Twitter!

Today is an important day… for a few reasons…
1. I am a guest blogger over at Holly’s blog, check her amazing blog out here and read what I had to say!  I will be blogging about the delicious almond clusters I have started making every Christmas season with my sweet friend, Mallory!
2.  For the first time, I am connecting my blog to facebook and twitter to begin sharing it with friends and family.  I’ve been nervous to do this starting out because I wanted to get a good feel for the blogging community and get some good blogs established and start receiving a few comments.  I have now gotten there and I feel confident enough in my blog to start sharing it with people I know.  So if you’re reading this and are a first time visitor, WELCOME! I’m so glad to have you here!
3. The reason I’m sharing with friends and family now is for a big surprise I have to announce.  Blogger friends, I’ve already shared this with you… some friends and family, I’ve already shared this with you too, but I’d like to come out with the BIG announcement for EVERYONE!  I graduated last night from Mississippi State with a degree in Marketing!  I did not take a salary paid job yet because I chose to go work at DISNEY WORLD Jan 18-Aug 3.  My goal is to get a professional internship in marketing from that and possibly a salary paid job afterwards.  I wanted to share my blog with you because I will be blogging about my experience there and all the neat things I run into, so if that interests you, please start following my blog to keep up with me!  I will also be really excited about writing letters and postcards as much as possible, so if you want to receive mail from me while I’m there, then send me your address in an e-mail to heatherblack79@gmail.com so i can add you in my address book!  I’m really excited about this opportunity and I hope you all choose to follow me throughout my journey!!
4. I want all of my friends and family to know that I will truly miss them and I will keep in touch as best as I can! I love you all and I thank each of you for the small or big impact you have made in my life over the past years!
