Holly Jolly Swap!

Wow, I feel like I’m accomplishing something by doing two posts in two consecutive days haha… that’s sad when it’s been so long since I’ve done that!

I’m a little late on posting my Secret Santa from the Holly Jolly Swap, but better late than never!  Today I want to show off my gifts from my Secret Santa, Julia @ Miss Southern Preppy!  She did such a fabulous job picking out my gifts since I’ll be moving to Orlando soon, she was so thoughtful as she planned out the perfect gifts for my travels!

2 Luggage Tags and a Passport Holder
All the gifts together
A photo holder and a journal

I love ALL of my gifts, I forgot to get a picture of the lipgloss she also sent because I already threw it in my purse to be used!! Thank you so much Julia, you did a fabulous job!!

Back in the game!

Alright, so I’m back in Starkville and back to blogging.  I had a VERY eventful hectic weekend!  I have missed reading everyone’s blogs and keeping up with my own, so hopefully this week you will be seeing a lot more of me!! Let me try to update you one by one on everything that’s been going on!

1. The Bachelorette Party

We had a fabulous time at the Bachelorette party last weekend.
We went and got our nails done first, the bride to be got a mani and pedi
(Me, Whitney, and one of the twins!)

We then went to Keifers for dinner (whitney’s favorite restaurant) and then went back to Whitney’s house for the lingerie shower and some dessert.  I picked up some petit fours from a cute little place called Icing on the Cake and I had a P put on them for her future last name!

We also played lots of games and had the lingerie shower, so this was such a great night!

Earlier that day I was having one of the WORST days, so it was great to have a girls night, it totally needed!

2. The Half-Marathon

So I’ve been training for this half-marathon since last July!  It’s been rough though getting over shin splints and once being sick and then traveling and the holidays and graduation.  I wasn’t as prepared as I would have liked to be.  The course was beautiful through downtown Jackson, but extremely HILLY!  I got through the first eight miles really good, but the last five seriously kicked my butt!  I started having intense hip and knee pain, I felt like an old lady, and then around mile 12, I had a knee cramp, so that slowed me down.  It was great when I finally made it to the finish line and I saw so many people I knew who loved me and were cheering me on.  It kept me going up that last hill to the finish line! (Can you believe they put a hill on the finish line.. seriously!)  It was rough, but I am proud of myself and I’m so glad I did it!  My time was 2 hours and 41 minutes.  It was slower than I wanted, but I’m still proud of myself and now I can work on doing better for next time! I’m considering doing the Disney Princess Half Marathon when I’m working there!

3. Whitney’s Wedding!

Right after I finished my race, I headed straight home to take a BATH, not a shower… because I could hardly stand up haha.  Then I got ready for the wedding and headed that way.  I was really nervous because we had to walk up and down stairs for the wedding, luckily I made it without falling flat on my face, but I was so worn out from the wedding and the race, that it was nice to get this weekend over with so I could get back to Starkville and relax.

Me and the Beautiful Bride!!

Overall, this has been a great holiday, vacation, and weekend.  I’m starting to see Disney in the horizon and I’m getting a little nervous because I’m going to miss all my friends and family so much!!
Sorry for having to cram so much into one day so we could play catch up, but I look forward to being in the blogging scene more this week!

It’s OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK…

… that I haven’t started packing for Disney yet!

… that I’m waiting to get back to Starkville this weekend to work on my blog and revamp it.

… that I’m not going to be able to walk come Saturday night after a busy two days of wedding stuff and running a half marathon!

… that I’m using the small window of time I have left before leaving for Starkville to blog this right here and start packing up my room at home

… that I have one more short run before my half-marathon

… that I’m super nervous

… to plan my own going away parties because people don’t usually plan anything for the planners of this world! lol

Happy Thursday! Next time you hear from me will be after the festivities this weekend!!! I’m still trying to keep up with everyone’s blogs though!  Have a great short week!
