One of two things is probably going through your head right now… 1) Omg… She IS still alive… or 2) Omg… you haven’t been here for 2 weeks? I didn’t even notice.
Well, I’m back and I just wanted to catch y’all up real quick.
March is busy. Extremely busy. I’m already exhausted and it’s only the 13th.
The first weekend in March, I headed up to Starkville for a friends b-day celebrations. Her one birthday request was that I run this CFA 5K race with her and so that’s exactly what I did. Her mom came into town and ran it with us. Afterwards, Nick and I went to a baseball game with another friend of mine whose husband is a coach for the team. It was so great visiting with her – Our visits are always so far apart! That night, we ended up participating in a local “beer crawl” which was unique and fun!
The next weekend was Nick’s b-day and I was over the moon excited to go back up to Starkville to celebrate this wonderful man!! My heart just beams with pride and excitement over him! I couldn’t leave work fast enough to hop in my car and make the drive up. We had another friend whose birthday was the day before his and her husband planned a surprise dinner party, so we went to that first and then all went out for drinks to celebrate both of their birthdays. (side note: 2 of Nick’s roommates have a birthday in March, plus his sister, plus the thousands of other people who seem to have birthdays in March, geez!)
And if that’s not the greatest photo bomb, I don’t know what is! Happy Birthday to Nick & MK!
After Nick’s birthday weekend, we both headed back to Jackson because he’s on spring break and I had to be back at work, so I’ve just been spending a lot of time with Nick. Usually when he’s in town, I throw blogging to the wind – it’s becoming a habit. I understand why I do it though, when you’re in a long-distance relationship, the time you spend together is limited, so when you have it, you use it!
The rest of the month will be hectic too though. We have the St. Patrick’s day Parade this weekend, the next two weekends after that I’ll be in Starkville for various reasons, the weekend after that I plan on heading out to Houston and the weekend after that, back in Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend. On top of that, work has been really busy and I’m studying to take my insurance license exam next Friday (prayers greatly appreciated!) Once I pass this exam, I can begin moving up the ladder at work and assisting my boss in managing and growing his business. I have a conference to go to next month to learn how to better assist him with that as well. Lots of growth and changes around here, but I’m truly loving the job and the people I work with!
I have lots of blog reading to catch up on and I need to get my butt in gear for that 50 mile bike ride I’m doing in May (because I haven’t trained… AT ALL) to raise money for Diabetes – yeah, I forgot about it too!! Geez…. Also… laundry… my oh my… laundry…. I need to do that as well.
So to sum up this blog post:
I missed roughly 2 weeks of blogging.
I missed it greatly.
I’m way behind on reading blog posts.
As well as everything else in life.
Mainly because I’ve been out of town so much.
And spending as much time as possible with Nick.
Celebrating his birthday, because he so deserves it.
I hope to blog more frequently, but with everything going on, there are no promises there.
Lastly, don’t forget to link-up with Meg and I for Bliss on March 26th because I can assure you that I will most definitely be here on the blog talking about my favorites this month. That is a promise. I may not make it for any other blog post the rest of the month, but I’ll for sure be here for that!
So tell me, have I missed anything super great these past 2 weeks? Any blog posts I definitely need to catch up on? Tell all please!

It sounds like you have been having so much fun! I don’t know a lot of people with March birthdays, but November is a pretty big birthday month for me so I know the feeling.

I know a lot of people with March birthdays too! What is that?? So glad you get to spend time with Nick! I don’t blame you for falling off the earth. 🙂 Long distance relationships are so hard.

I totally related to this post. It has been months since I last blogged, but I just started again. And we’ve been celebrating a ton of birthdays lately too! Glad to see you back to blogging!

We had two big bday celebrations, one for Keith (which went great), and one for another friend (which kinda bombed) but they were fun in the end. STL has their big St. Paddy’s Day parade on Saturday so I’m excited too. We’ll have to picture swap! 🙂

My dad, his twin brother, one of his good friends, my BFF from first grade, and my current BFF all have the same birthday: March 8. My guess is that a lot of people get married in June. 9 months later, March birthdays. Just like all of mid-November birthdays are 9 months after Valentine’s.
