If you’re anything like me – then you love giving gifts or making gestures to let others know how much you appreciate them! Having just started this new job back in January, I’ve been faced with a thousand different questions, a million things I had no idea how to do and I would have NOT survived if it was not for this girl in my office. She was so helpful and patient with me. After just 2-3 weeks, I knew I wanted to get her a thank you gift.
What do you get for someone you barely know at work, but appreciate more and more each day?
I have just the thing! Not only is this perfect for a co-worker, it’s perfect for anyone that you appreciate – teachers, mentors, Bible Study leaders, and more!
I spent probably 2 hours in Target coming up with the perfect thing and I finally nailed it. I tossed many different items in and out of my cart throughout that 2 hour period. You want to think about the specific person you’re buying for. At first, I had tossed in jelly beans and gum, but then remembered that my giftee had bottom braces. I also went through a ton of nail polish colors, but she’s a pretty basic person (like me), so I didn’t want to get anything too bright. I also had a coffee mug at one point, but I don’t remember her drinking too much coffee – so I put it back.
Here is what I ended up purchasing for my co-worker who has been insanely patient with my thousands of questions, who has walked me through filling out papers upon papers to turn in, who has edited and gone over my work a hundred times before I submitted it.

What a thoughtful gesture! I would LOVE a gift like that – it’s the perfect combo of fun and practical!

Giving is the essential out pour of life. That is actually one of my love languages too. I was raised on gift giving and leaving thank you’s thanks to my mom! The last gift I gave were Christmas cards to my friends and family. It’s about time for another round of something new…hmmmm, thanks Heather!

The recipients of my next gifting will be Keith for his 33rd birthday and my friend Sam who is turning 30. Both celebrations are this weekend so it will be busy. Keith wants a portable charger to throw into his work case so he’ll get that, and I plan on getting Sam something to celebrate 30 – just haven’t made up my mind on what yet!

Aww I love this!! I feel like as bloggers we’re getting so good at gifting the little things, like you did, because of swaps haha! Mike’s birthday is actually today, so I will be gifting to him throughout the week 🙂
