Every year for Thanksgiving, I make Peanut Butter Pie. Being the peanut butter junkie that I am, it only makes sense to enjoy peanut butter on one of my favorite days of the year! I’m also a huge chocolate person though and so I had one of those “light bulb” moments where I just knew that I could incorporate chocolate into this already simple peanut butter pie! Below you’ll find both recipes.
Peanut Butter Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
Graham Cracker Pie Crust
1 pkg (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Directions:
Mix Cream Cheese, peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in 1-1/2 cups whipped topping. Spoon mixture into pie crust. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight (preferred) and then top pie with the remainder of the whipped topping.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Recipe

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 melted chocolate chips
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Directions:
In one bowl, mix 4 oz. cream cheese, peanut butter, 1/2 of the sugar, 1/2 tbsp. vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. In another bowl, mix 4 oz. cream cheese, melted chocolate chips, 1/2 of the sugar, 1/2 tbsp. vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight (preferred) and then top pie with the remainder of the whipped topping.

As you can see, the chocolate peanut butter pie is a little more involved than just the regular peanut butter, but I think it was worth the effort!! I believe I enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter pie a lot more than my typical peanut butter pie!
Happy Thanksgiving from me to you, hope you are filled with delicious food, dessert, and thanks this holiday season!
