Hey y’all, I’m still out of town for work, but today I have for you Kalyn! Kalyn is so precious and I really enjoyed meeting her at our Alabama blate last month. We had the priveledge of sitting next to each other and I was so blessed by the new friendship I was able to create with Kalyn! She has a special treat for y’all today! I know I’m not the only one who enjoys something sweet out of the oven and that is exactly what she has to share, and what’s even better, is that it’s a family recipe, passed down, so take a few minutes and get to know Kalyn and be sure to stop by her blog and say hi!

Hi everyone! Hi everyone!! I’m Kalyn, the blogger behind the blog Love.Laughter.Happily Ever After. I journal all my OCD and ADHD rambling thoughts of amateur photography, completing my degree, the joys of having a Pinterest obsession on a Dollar Tree budget, and a little here and there about being a new wife.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to take over Heather’s blog today! I absolutely adore Heather and am so thankful to have her as a blog friend and real life friend! If you are not involved in blogger blates you totally should! I am thankful to have met Heather, as well as other bloggers from this awesome network.
As you read above, I am obsessed with Pinterest! So, what better way to share with you all today a little lovin’ from my kitchen oven.
Apple Dumplings. Let’s talk about ’em.
When you get married your entire life changes in many wonderful ways. Your family grows with the addition of in-laws, the holidays become busier, you travel a little more a little bit farther over the weekends, your schedule is always jam packed, and there is always a slight chance of adopting new recipes. You may even gain a few pounds, as well.
Today I wanted to share with you all an Apple Dumpling Recipe that has been passed down through Tony’s family. Recently we were home visiting his family over the weekend and his Daddy actually made this little dessert one night. Tony’s grandparents passed down this recipe to his parents and his parents passed it down to us. You better believe that I have already made it a couple of times too! This recipe is one that I absolutely love because it is fairly cheap to find, quick and easy to make, and oh so delicious.
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith Apples
1 Can Crescent Rolls
Cinnamon
3/4 Brown Sugar
1 Cup Water
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Stick of Butter
Directions:
Quarter apples
Wrap apples in crescent roll
Put in buttered dish
Sprinkle the top with cinnamon
In a another bowl, mix water, brown sugar, butter, sugar
Boil these contents then pour over dumplings
Bake in oven @ 350′ for 30-40 minutes
What are you waiting for? Get off this blog and get to the kitchen. Start cooking and enjoy!! If you like to push the buttons like me, add a little vanilla ice cream to your apple dumpling. 🙂
