Sorry it’s taken me so long to get this post up! I think I could deem this week, the week of traveling posts! I have Louisville, Alternative Spring Break in the Mississippi Delta, and Memphis to catch y’all up on!
Welcome to….
{The City}
Me and my friends did a lot of sight seeing (well, what was in walking distance of our hotel) during some of our free time!! It was a really neat place and the atmosphere was great!
There was interesting art everywhere!!!!
{Harvest}
This place was AMAZING!!! It is a locally grown restaurant and all the products they serve are locally grown around Louisville. I got the hamburger and potato chips which, as you can tell, were delicious! We also ordered a meat and cheese tray with a bread tray and everything on those were delicious! I strongly suggest that if you ever visit Louisville, eat at this restaurant called Harvest, you will NOT regret it!
{Churchill Downs – The Kentucky Derby!}
The horse that won the Kentucky Derby the year I was born! |
They had these awesome racing horses that you can play with! |
Can you imagine wearing these hats!? |
Honestly, there are plenty more pictures, but I’m getting tired of uploading haha, so I’m cutting it short!
It was so great though because at the end of our trip, I was able to cross the Indiana border which is helping me knock off one of my 101 in 1001 which is to visit 5 new states! I was also able to visit another state this past week that you’ll hear about in a later post!
Louisville was a fabulous city and I really enjoyed spending time there!
Hopefully we will meet again and I can come for the Kentucky Derby one year!

Awesome trip! We are pretty close to Louisville as we live in southern Indiana. We drove back from a vacation in Florida and had to drive thru Alabama to add it to our list! Didn’t get to stop but we did make it thru FL, GA, TN and KY!

I’ve always wanted to go to the Kentucky Derby…I just want an excuse to buy a fabulous hat and drink a mint julep!

Louisville looks great! And that Harvest restaurant sounds fabulous – I love how they show you exactly where the growers are from. Great photos, I would love to travel down there sometime 🙂
