Some Letters for Friday!

Dear Friday, thank you for finally being here!  Dear Saturday, I’m so excited for you, but I’m contemplating picking up an extra shift because I could definitely use the extra cash right now… What do you think I should do?!  Dear Florida Drivers, you all pretty much suck… yeah… Dear Atlanta, Savannah, and possibly Miami, you should anticipate a visit from me before August now that I will have my car in town!  Dear J&T, you should expect that I will need a place to sleep when I visit.  Dear sweet ole’ blog, I’m sorry I’ve neglected you for what is in actuality, probably a month, I’m feeling good again and I’m back at it!  Dear Laundry, you will and must be tackled tonight.  Dear Workouts, once laundry is tackled, so will you!  Dear lunch, even though I see stuff in the cafeteria that looks good, I know that saving money and packing a lunch is in reality way better tasting (looks can be deceiving) and way healthier.  Dear family and friends, I will be home in ONE WEEK and cannot wait to see all of you!  Dear Disney World, I would like some more free main gate passes so people will come visit me.. please, and thank you!  Dear Walt, I’m sorry to inform you, that you would probably roll over in your grave at some of the things that have gone down in this place since your passing… maybe one day you will be unfrozen and can come tell these people how it is!

Happy Friday loves!

My SELF challenge went off track yesterday since I chose not to work out, and the day before was my ‘OFF’ day anyways, but I plan on catching back up today!  My eating habits have actually been relatively good lately… healthy breakfasts (which is uber important), semi-healthy lunches that I pack myself, and then my dinners have suffered a bit.  I had hamburger helper last night which isn’t the best choice.. oh, and then that sneak of icing, but all in all.. it’s been a pretty good week otherwise!

Its Ok Thursdays

IT’S OK…

… to be sitting here at 9:45 at night drinking ‘breakfast’ English tea because you wanted hot tea and it’s all you had

… to miss a planned workout day every once in a while (although it’s not like an uncommon occurrence here)

… to miss the workout because of lack of clean workout clothes

… to plan the past 2 nights to laundry and decide that honestly tomorrow is probably better after all

… to be so obsessed with reading

… to have a diet coke tonight

… and possibly eat a small spoonful of leftover chocolate frosting from a roommate making cupcakes

… to be SO excited about being home in LESS THAN A WEEK!!!!

… to anticipate the following when I get home (mostly related to food): strombolis, newks, papa johns, oec, lunch and bowl ($8 for lunch and 2 games of bowling, heck yes!), pool hall, hunger games, trivia night, MY birthday celebration (APRIL 9TH FOR THOSE WHO CARE!), Easter Sunday, and most of all… seeing family and friends that I love and miss oh so much!!

… to feel the need to express my excitement ONE MORE TIME!

… to be a little sad that my EC planner hasn’t gotten as much use as I would like lately (mainly because my life is uber boring and consists of a routine schedule at work in which I make no appointments or have any reason to write anything down)

… to anticipate Saturday morning in which I will go to Epcot (for free!), take a fabulous run around the lake before all the shops open at 11am, then buy some german chocolate and walk around for a bit! This makes my heart happy!

… to love blogging. and reading blogs. and followers.  and all of the above and beyond.

Happy Thursday, enjoy your last work day week tomorrow! I know I will.

Spring Favorites Link-Up!

Linking up with Amber for Spring Favorites!
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year.  I’m stuck in Florida at the moment though where it seems like summer has already hit home, blah!  I could probably go on and on about what I love about spring, but honestly, there is a lot that I love about each season (I obviously won’t go into all of that now).

{1} Running in the A.M.
A good morning jog is the best!!  It’s a little chilly when you get up, maybe a little breezy, extremely fresh air, and by the time you get done with your run, you’re not dying from the dramatic cold or extremely hot weather.  A spring morning provides the best running weather!

{2}My Birthday!
Yes… I’m kind of a fanatic when it comes to birthdays… especially my birthday!  Some people don’t think birthday’s are that important, but to me… they are one of the most important!  If someone is special in my life, then I’m thankful for the day that they were put on this Earth, so I celebrate that!  I’m also thankful that I’m alive and well and breathing each new day, so I’m going to celebrate making it another year!  It’s not about age and how old I’m getting, it’s about celebrating the year that God has given me!  My birthday is April 9th incase any of you fabulous bloggers wanted to wish me a Happy Birthday – I’m a little obsessed with my birthday! haha

{4} A natural Tan
I use to go to the tanning bed back in highschool, but realized how dumb that was.  I immediately stopped because 1. I was wasting money and 2. I was aging myself way faster than I wanted.  I also realized right around that time that I could get an even more natural tan just from being out in the sun 30-40 minutes every morning on my run, so I stopped going to the tanning bed.  I love the look of a natural slow tan.  I don’t want to be pasty white, but I also don’t want to be really dark, I just want a little color and being out in the sun unprotected for about 30 minutes a day getting good Vitamin D does that for me.  I’m not great about putting on sunblock just on a regular day (except for my face, that is ALWAYS protected) but I do try to wear sunblock if I’ll be exposed for a long time.  I just don’t believe in tanning beds anymore… they’re fake, they’re harmful, and they’re just not good for you!

Happy Tuesday, almost to the middle of the week!
