Oxford, MS

I took a visit to Oxford this week and it was wonderful! I originally had to be there on business, but since my best friend lives there, I headed out the night before so I could spend some time with her!  We got into town that night and our friends were at a Christmas Party so I needed to run by Walmart to pick up a few things anyways so we headed that way.  Lucky for us, there was a good will right next door and we are kind of suckers for those!  We assumed that since this was in Oxford, not Starkville, that it’d be quite nice because the people in Oxford would donate a lot better things haha, they can be somewhat fancy.  At goodwill I found the BEST deal in the history of deals!  So as most of you know, I was never a huge Harry Potter fan until recently.  While I lived in Orlando, I read all 7 books and watched all the movies and became obsessed!  So…. not trying to get you too excited…. BUT I found ALL 7 books in great condition for a TOTAL OF $25!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, I didn’t even think about the purchase, I just knew I was getting it!!

After that we headed to Walmart and got a few things then headed over to Whitney’s just to catch up and hang out!  It was a wonderful evening with friends.  That morning I woke up for some meetings at UM for work and those went perfect!  We also got a tour of campus which was great!  That afternoon, I met back up with Whitney and we went to the gingerbread house display which was REALLY cool!  We also checked out this antique store that was cool.

Those are just a few of the awesome gingerbread houses!

Then we walked along the square for a little bit.  Nick and I had tickets for DISNEY ON ICE in Tupelo so we headed that way for the show!! We are like little kids when it comes to Disney, so we were thrilled.  We realized though that since we don’t have kids, the kids that were there were actually quite annoying with all the crying and yelling and talking, but when you go to a kids show I guess you should expect that haha.

This is how close we were! We had great seats!

This was the tinkerbell portion!  It was so amazing!

This is a short video from the end of the show!! They did such a great job!

After the show we headed back to starkville, but overall the trip was wonderful and much needed!!
