Hey guys! I feel like it’s been FOREVER since I’ve posted… I’ve missed it! It has been a busy weekend and this week is going to be HECTIC.
I am so proud of my parents and I’m so upset that I forgot to take good pictures, but my parents did a race this weekend and it was the most touching experience! My parents started a program called Marathon Makeover. They have been on a 40 week journey to get them to this exact point. My dad did his FIRST marathon and my mom did her FIRST half-marathon! They were both overweight when they started, and have kept up with this program so well, I am just nothing but PROUD! My moms leg started hurting her towards the end, but she still made it to the finish line in 4 hours and 15 minutes. My dad was doing SO GREAT, and I met him half way to trade off some re-fueling stuff for him to use, but towards mile 18, he had a lot of blisters and was much slower than the first half. We finally saw him coming up the way and as my sister said “It was like the ending of a dramatic movie!” Everyone cheered him in and he got the banner from the race. He was the last person to make it to the finish line, but I’m just so proud that he stuck with it. Before he started Marathon Makeover, I was very concerned about his health and now he’s probably healthier than I am!
I have been swamped with school and work and on top of that, trying to find time to fit in interviews… things are hectic, but I’m trying to keep my head above water. Lets just say that today is definitely not my best… I’m totally unmotivated. Any words of encouragement?
I need to start putting up more pictures… once I find my camera cord, I’ll start doing that. I’ll look for it tonight. Have a fabulous week friends!! I’ll get back on track here soon, just gotta make it through these tests and projects… blah!
