I thought I would like macaroons

I adore my people.

I can assure you that it was not my intention to skip out the past few days.  My original plan was to get back into town Monday night and post about my trip to Atlanta from this past weekend.  I got back into town and I was exhausted, so I didn’t.  I have been nothing but GO GO GO since I got back into town.  I finally had tonight to relax a little and catch up on some things – like laundry and cleaning and blogging.

This past weekend, Nick and I headed to Atlanta to see his best friend.  It turned out to be a wonderful weekend and we experienced some new and exciting things!  (Don’t worry, Nadine, next time I plan a trip to Atlanta, I’ll be sure to stop by and visit you!)

Here is what we did on Saturday

I had never been to Lush.  I had heard about it and found the products to be interesting, so I was excited to see it for myself!  I didn’t end up buying anything this weekend, but their products were unique and next time I make a trip to Lush, I do plan on buying something!
We ate lunch at this stir fry place.  It was pretty good, but they didn’t have a “vegetarian” option and so I felt like I paid a hefty price for some veggies and tofu.  Afterwards we headed to Honey Bubble.  I tried the Signature Royal Milk Tea with Coffee Gels.  It wasn’t exactly what I expected and honestly, I probably won’t go there again, but it was a unique experience.  I also tried a macaroon for the first time in my life and they were not what I expected at all!  I guess I thought they were more like a firm cookie, but it had this jelly stuff inside and it was kind of mushy.
We then proceeded to nap because we were all so exhausted and then had one of the greatest nights ever!
Phase 10
Wine
Delicious Cheese
Friends
Lots of Laughs

Wine was purchased at World Market.  It definitely didn’t disappoint.

We might have purchased some Godiva chocolate while out shopping earlier…. ok so we definitely did.

Sweet Ted!
Saturday was so much fun!  I’ll be getting caught back up with blogging and life and I’m way too scared to see what my Bloglovin feed is right now, but I’ll eventually get caught up on that too.  I’ll share the rest of our trip later.  Nick worked on a little experiment over the weekend and he has officially agreed to write a guest post on it – so keep your eye out!

I’ve never had a macaroon! I’m so intrigued by them. They look really good and I’m always jealous of people when I see pictures of them.

Your trip to Atlanta sounds fun! I have never tried Lush either but I always looked at their stuff as I would walk by the store. They seem a little pricey but it would be fun to try!

No worries, we spent the weekend with Chris’s sister and catching up on stuff around the house on Sunday because I got way behind from being sick for so long! What part of town do your friends live in?
