I seriously love blogging, but…

blogging

I know I’m not the only awesome person out there who loves blogging, obviously!  But aren’t there a few things that bother you?  I’m not talking about the major things that make some bloggers annoying or not the best, heck, I may be that blogger at times.  But there are also GOOD things in the blogging community that can be so frustrating, things that really bother me!

Why can’t you know these people face-to-face?  I  know that some bloggers get together and get to meet, but I’ve been doing this for over a year now and haven’t gotten to meet any of my bloggy friends and it makes me sad.  I know one day I’ll get to know some of them, but the truth is, I probably won’t meet all of you wonderful ladies (and a few men in there too)!

Link-Ups, There are so many great ones!  I saw someone tweet yesterday asking how you choose which link-ups to do in a day when there are a bunch of great ones!  I personally am not one of those people that likes to do 2 or more link-ups in a single day.  I know it would probably grow my numbers to be a part of that many link-ups, but the truth is, I don’t think my readers would like to read through all that.  I don’t like for my posts to get too long and at some point I just think too many link-ups is too much!  But seriously, how do you choose?  I join in on Friday Letters and It’s OK Thursday EVERY single week and I don’t want that to change, so when I hear about other link-ups on those days, I want to join, but I can’t get myself away from these 2 that I’ve been doing for so long now.

This needs to be my job!  Do y’all feel that way?  You would prefer to spend so much time blogging, growing your blog, meeting new people, commenting and so on… but there is this whole other life, your real life, that you have to continue on with.  It sucks sometimes, but I know there are people out there who do use their blog as their business and I would love for that to one day be me!  That time is NOT now, but it’s a dream… maybe one day!

What are your frustrations with blogging?  (not what other bloggers do that irritate you)
What is your dream for your blog?
Have you had the chance to meet blog friends IRL?
How many link-ups do you do per week?  Which ones?

I’m lucky at the moment I’m on Uni holidays so I have quite a bit of extra time (although I have four blogs ha ha so my time is spread kind of thin). What are link ups?
To be honest I have no dreams for my personal blog, its more just a diary for me but my other ones I’m hoping to monetize in the future.

I would love to blog all day, every day. But I don’t think I will ever monetize it – at least, not in the future. I also wish I had time to read other people’s blogs. I feel like I do such a bad job at this – usually my commenting has to wait until the weekends:(

As for meeting people, I’ve had both good and bad experiences – but mostly good:) I did attend a blogging conference which was really overwhelming. Some girls were going crazy for “big time” bloggers I had never heard of, and some were just downright rude. But, on the flipside, I’ve met some amazing ladies that I can call/text whenever!

I can relate to all these! Right now my biggest frustration is time. I want to spend more time on my blog and less time at work. If this was a full time job that would be awesome, because that time could then be spent writing and commenting/keeping up with other blogs which sometimes takes me a few hours!

I know what you mean about all of this! I try and do only one link up per day, also. I always do Walkabout Wednesday and do It’s OK/Fri Letters occasionally. My newest favorite is a Sunday Scavenger Hunt. You get 5 topics and have to take a photo of your interpretation of that topic during the week. It gets me using my camera more often, which is fun.

I also know what you mean about not meeting blog friends. I always feel like it’s a little awkward to be like, “hey, let’s meet up!” even if you live close. I’m just hesitant and don’t want people to think I’m crazy! haha I have a few blog friends who I was friends with in middle or high school, but we lost touch after that, so it’s been so great to reconnect with them. I’m still waiting for my first real blogger-encounter haha.

    Great post!

My frustrations with blogging is when I have writers block OR if I have a lot I want to write but not sure how the audience will take it. I know its my blog but like anything if it gets into the wrong hands you never know what’s going to happen.

My dreams for my blog is to have a lot of followers who actually comment. I’m still working on that. I follow many in the hopes that they read me and enjoy what I post but you just never know.

I live in STL and unless its my friends already who blog, I haven’t met any blog friends. I would love to but again they aren’t near me.

I have one link up I do weekly (Tuesday Topics). Sometimes I will link up with Book Review Friday but not always as I’m not always finishing a book and occasionally I will do Its OK Thursday and the Sunday Social. Again just depends on my mood!

And I totally agree about this needing to be a job. It would be soo easy!
