Gloster, MS

A few weekends ago I traveled to Gloster, MS to be a bridesmaid in a sweet friends wedding!  I traveled down a few days early so I could help out with any last minute details.  This is all just a simple re-cap with pictures, mainly for my enjoyment and so I have it documented!  I’ll document more from the wedding day later this week!

Wednesday

We left Starkville around 4pm.  We had a few errands to run in Jackson so we stopped there for dinner and to run our errands.  We were able to meet up with Nick for dinner that night (no pictures!).  Nick and I had just completed our 10 day $35 eating out challenge and this was our last meal before totaling up our costs.  Sad to say, I ended up losing this one and had to pay him a little over $6.  We arrived to Gloster that night and stopped by Jamey’s mom’s so we could help clean up the house.  This story may not be so funny to y’all, but it was HILARIOUS to me (one of those, had to be there things)!  Jamey asked her mom what I could help with because I of course wanted to help (I’m a great bridesmaid y’all).  Her mom is in a frantic trying to clean everything and I think she just felt overwhelmed to seriously think of something to give me… so she threw up this salt & pepper shaker and said, “Here, if these are going to sit out, it needs to at least have salt & pepper in them, she can fill these up”.  So Ladies, that’s what I did… I filled up some Salt & Pepper shakers and my duties were complete!

Thursday
The MOH took me with her on some errands while Jamey went and did some stuff.  I caught up on BB and went for a nice walk outside and showered before we left.  She took me to this amazing restaurant in Natchez and then we were able to site see just a bit.  Have y’all ever read Greg Isles?  He’s a MS author who sets his books in Natchez.  I was excited to see his house because I have read one of his books and it was one of the most intriguing books I’ve ever read!

Friday
Friday we had the Bridesmaid Luncheon and then the Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner.  The luncheon was beautiful.  We had this delicious trio salad, in true blogger fashion… I forgot to get a picture, but you can obviously see that it was DELICIOUS!  The cookies were from the rehearsal dinner, how cute are they?!

Have a wonderful Monday and be sure to link-up with Ashley and I for Home Town Hop tomorrow!

I love seeing empty plates… makes me realize how much I need to go to that place and eat there. Because if it’s good enough to clean your plate… it’s good enough for everyone to enjoy!

Love your pictures! I love Jamey and Ben. I was so sad I couldn’t make it to the wedding. I know it was a blast. 🙂
