… to write posts and save them to finish later and then never get back to them.
… to be super excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity (blogging about later!)
… to be super nervous and anxious about same opportunity above because it’s so out of character
… to not know exactly where you will be in the next year
… to want to go to Starbucks and purchase a SECOND peppermint mocha for the day
… to procrastinate on projects because HECK, you are less than a month from graduation
… to count down until graduation
… to be a little sad that you haven’t been as excited about using your EC planner (what in the world is wrong?)
… to sign up for a lot of swaps to help with getting to know other bloggers and feeling like part of a community
… to try dressing up for the day, but then slum it in jeans and an oversized t-shirt because you couldn’t find the tank top you wanted to wear under your cute sweater
… to splurge on awesome winter coats because you’ve never bought good coats before, and dang… they should last quite a few winters
… to be ready for Thanksgiving because of all the fun you’re planning on having
First off, I’d like to invite everyone to check out Holly’s page at eight.six.eleven for her upcoming Holiday Guests Posts! I’m on for December 10th, so check out her page to read my post! I haven’t decided what I’m writing about yet, but I’m excited about it!
Now… today marks the start of the P90X Challenge… we wanted to stick with the nutrition plan also, but man that was going to be uber expensive, so we modified it a bit. This morning I made a mushroom omelet… I wasn’t a huge fun, but then again, I don’t really like mushrooms, so that was a bust. Tonight I’m going to do the workout for the day, so I’ll let you know how that goes. On a brighter note, my shin splints are feeling MUCH better and I get to do a test run tomorrow- one mile, 12-15 min. pace, around the track. I’m so ready to get back out there!!
I missed out on the 10K this weekend due to the shin splints, but man everyone did really great!! My boyfriend got 3rd place in his age division, his brother got 1st place in the same division, Kathryn, his sister-in-law, got 2nd place in her division, and then his mom got a prize also, but I don’t remember what she placed, but they all did really great and I’m super sad I didn’t get to run! Now that my shin splints are healing up nicely, I’m going to start training for an 8k in Ridgeland that I’ll run on Thanksgiving Day with my boyfriend, his brother, and his sister-in-law!
First off, I got about 12 hours of sleep last night on and off. I was in bed around 6:30pm and stayed there until 6:30am and was awake here and there to answer text messages and such. So I’m rested, YAY! Which was much needed after a long week of preparing for a presentation!
Second…. Today is GREY’S ANATOMY MARATHON DAY AT WORK! What is that, you may ask? Well… usually on Fridays at work, we are catching up on mountain’s of paperwork and doing our own thing, but yesterday after my presentation, I was able to catch up on most of our work which left us with a free Friday to do what we want. Usually Rob is super busy with other things as well, but as it turns out, he was free as a bird, so I made him devote this day to ME and we are watching Grey’s Anatomy ALL DAY!! I took some pics of us in the office:
This is me and Brooke, our favorite person in the office, she’s the Dean’s assistant and she gives us advice all the time, she’s like “mama bear” We love her super much!!
This is me and boys, my two favorite guys to work with. Rob is on the left and Matthew is on the right. We have a lot of fun and I’m really blessed to have some great people to work with. I’m gonna miss these guys when I graduate!
Seriously… LOVE this show. People complain about how it’s turned out, but I’m a huge fan of where the show is right now. What are your opinions on the show right now? I seriously almost cry at the end of EVERY episode!! I hope everything works out in the end!
Also, to enjoy our Grey’s Anatomy marathon, I went and bought a PEPPERMINT mocha from Starbucks! This is my FAVORITE holiday drink, btw! Want to make my day? Surprise me with a peppermint mocha, just fyi! 🙂
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!
Excuse all thered and green color coding, I’m just getting sooo excited about the holiday season. I know it’s early for christmas, I really am a huge Thanksgiving fan as well, but I just love the look of Christmas so much… and it just doesn’t seem like we have long enough time to decorate for christmas… I feel like one month is never enough! So I’m already getting in the spirit. I’ll follow up soon with aThanksgivingpost, promise! 🙂
