So Where were we?

Well… let’s see… we have a lot of catching up to do on the blog!

Today, I checked out a local YMCA.  It’s an aquatic Y, which is interesting, but they have a diving board (which you like never see anymore!), tons of fitness water classes you can take, and geez… just a lot of water stuff, but they also have great workout equipment and regular fitness classes too.  Unfortunately, I thought that being a Y member, meant nationally – IT DOESN’T! – so I signed up for a 14 day trial and then I may choose to be a member for like three months because I really think it will help keep me active because our tiny little gym SUCKS here and if I have a place to go, I’d be more inclined to actually roll out of the bed.

I also went grocery shopping finally (I’ve been a grocery hiatus because of how often I went back and forth over staying in Orlando or not), I was going to buy coffee until I realized that I’ve actually been doing alright without it and I still have coffee and soda on my 101 in 1001 list, SO… I decided now would be the perfect time!!  Today starts my no 30 days of coffee and soda… Am I crazy for trying to both at the same time?? Probably, but I’m sure I can make it!  I’ll keep you updated, of course!

Probably me without soda and coffee for 30 days, we’ll see!

I had a really great weekend with some fabulous old and new friends.  Nick has found a lot of new friends since I’ve been gone and they are all AMAZING!  We had a blast and hopefully some of them will be coming in May for Star Wars Weekend at Disney World.  In case you didn’t know, I only have about 3 and a half more months of Disney then I’m back home searching for a job.  I’m determined to now make the best of it, so I’m in a great mood now, YAY!

I also just found out that I can now be trained in Merchandise which is going to open up so many extra shifts for me to pick up which will be great…1. because I’ll be around more guests which will make the job so much more fun… 2. I can make a lot of extra money through overtime this way which is fab!… 3. Hopefully I can save up some money for some things I’m needing wanting right now (kindle, Newton running shoes, tablet, trips to Miami, Gainesville, and Savannah)  So I’ll be working on that while I don’t have people in town.

Hope everyone else is doing well, I must admit, I haven’t been keeping up lately with my blog reads and my blogging all together, but it’s getting better slowly!  Have a fabulous rest of the week!!

It’s OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK…

… to make a sporadic trip home because you just felt like you needed too

… to plan on busting your tail the next 3-4 weeks at work to make extra money because your broke from the random trips home you’ve been taking

… to contemplate creating a diet plan that consists of extremely healthy eating for 3 weeks out of the month, so that it is satisfactory to allow chocolate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during 1 week out of the month

… to re-watch seasons over and over again because they were THAT good (examples: Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Burn Notice, Grey’s Anatomy…)

… to sign up for a kickboxing class because you have been terrified of getting robbed or raped after watching too many lifetime movies… it just sounds like the smart thing to do!

… to make comfort food on a regular basis

… to take your clothes home to get washed so you don’t have to pay the couple of bucks to wash them at your apartment

… to save recipes and workouts even if you don’t ever end up using them… one day, maybe… they will actually come in handy!

Happy Thursday!

So it’s time to be honest…

Wow… what an insane past few weeks for me here in Orlando! I know, I know… I’ve been M.I.A. for quite some time, occasionally popping in out of guilt, for lack of a better word.

So you must be wondering… what in the world has been on my mind, right?

Well, I don’t think it’s much of a secret that I have not really been enjoying my College Program at Disney World lately, it’s been pretty rough for the following reasons:
1. I miss my family and friends
2. Living with 7 girls is insane!
3. My managers are not that fabulous
4. Housekeeping is a strenuous job and sucks!
5. It’s too hot to run outside unless it’s dark (which is NOT safe!)
And many more… I’m sure!

So over the past few weeks or so, I’ve been contemplating quitting my program and heading home to find a salary based job.  The pay isn’t good, I still have my rent back home and they take my rent here out of my paycheck every week.  I’m graduated with a degree, so I don’t need this for an internship.  This was somewhat of a filler for me between graduation and a big girl job.  So I was bound and determined to quit and pack my bags and head home.

I also struggled with staying though because I didn’t want to feel like a quitter (because I’m not!) and I didn’t want to regret leaving and closing this door for good because I wouldn’t be able to come back and I would miss my roommates and I may choose to work for Disney sometime in the future and I didn’t want to bail out of my commitment.

You can ask my friends, family, boyfriend, and probably everyone else in between, that I went back and forth a million times – it was a vicious cycle!  One second I’d be dead set on going home, then change directions immediately and be dead set on staying.

So what did I choose?  Well I decided… I only have three and a half more months, so I think I can stick it out.  I’m going home again this weekend and I’m going home again in May for my sisters graduation, then I only have TWO MONTHS left, so surely I can make it the last 2 months.  This decision has caused me tons of distress though and therefore has led to my lack of blogging.

I have some fun things I’m joining in on over the next few months here that I’ll be blogging about, and my attitude has improved a lot, so even though my posts have been dreadful the past few weeks, please continue reading and stay posted, because I promise, this journey is about to get better!!

Happy Monday lovelies, Hope you all are having a wonderful start to the week!
