Hello sweet friends!  I’m excited to be back from my little bloggy vacay.  I took some much needed time this week to focus on work and focus on the direction I really want my blog to go in.  I had originally thought I wanted to start doing sponsorship, but I don’t feel like I have the time or effort to put into it when I already feel like I don’t put forth enough effort to focus on my actual blog posts.  I want this space to be enjoyable and for the past month or two, I’ve been more concerned about followers and I’ve been stressed to get posts written.  While I was away, I noticed that I lost 3 GFC followers and 1 Bloglovin’ follower.  Although I was a little sad to see those 4 people go, I realized again that that’s not what it should be about and I realized how thankful I am for the true relationships I’ve been able to build with this blog.

In honor of the 196 of you that stuck around while I took a break, I decided to share with you about my Favorite Things Party I had recently and give away my “favorite thing” from the party!

First… The party!  It was SO much fun, y’all!  I had 5 girls and 1 guy over for a night of favorite things and favorite food!  We each brought 3 items that were our 1 favorite thing and then we drew names to see who would receive the favorite thing we brought.  We also brought our favorite appetizer or dessert to share with the party-goers.  This party was such a hit, that it was requested to be done every month! 

 

We all left with amazing gifts and it was a wonderful night of fellowship with friends!

Now, I’d like to give y’all the favorite thing that I brought for the party!

I gave 3 of my friends the gift of a coffee and dessert night of fellowship with friends because that’s something I absolutely LOVE!  Any opportunity I have to spend quality time with friends over coffee and dessert is wonderful, and during those times, you always find yourself being encouraged!

Hey y’all!  I’m Heather and you’ll find me at my blog From Here to There. When I reached 100 followers on my blog, I did a few exciting things:
 1. I created a new blog design that highlighted what my blog is truly about    2. I conducted my 1st giveaway!
 I was pleased to announce that Ashley was my giveaway winner and as they say, the rest is history!  Ashley and I quickly became good friends and had the privilege of meeting in person recently! 
 Here’s a little about me and my blog: I’m a graduate from Mississippi State University with a degree in Marketing.  After graduation I moved to Orlando and worked in the Disney College Program, then I moved back to Starkville, MS and took a job as an Americorps VISTA for the leadership office at MSU.  I have 2 younger sisters, a sweet puppy, and 6 cats. I enjoy running, cooking, baking, trying a DIY from time to time, and exploring new cities.  My blog is about the journey that gets me from one place to the next while keeping Mississippi close to my heart.  I have no idea where I’ll be working or living come August, but that’s what makes this journey called life that much more exciting!  I hope you’ll take the time to visit my blog, say hi, and give me the chance to get to know you!
