Vote on my Stitch Fix!

I hate shopping.
I despise looking through the racks for hours on end, picking out 20-30 items, trying them all on, to usually come back with nothing that fits right, nothing that’s in my price range, and a few hours wasted.

I’m cheap.
If I’m out at the store and it costs more than $20, I barely even look at it because I know I won’t want to spend the money.  Also, I’m not great at finding clothes that fit me perfectly, so I don’t feel I should spend the money on it unless I’m 100% happy with my purchase.

My wardrobe has started dwindling though.  I’m running out of cute clothes and I know I need to do some shopping.  I’m wearing things out that I usually wear to work because I just have no other options.  This is where Stitch Fix comes in.  I had been wanting to try Stitch Fix for a while because as mentioned above “I hate shopping” and this seemed like the fix {pun intended}.  I read countless reviews on other blogs and was a little nervous – 1. Because some of these girls got terrible fixes and nothing looked right on them.  2. It did seem a little pricey. {refer above “I’m cheap”}

I signed up for it anyways because I literally haven’t gone shopping since I took this new job.

Well, lo and behold, I pretty much loved everything in my fix and I now need your help!

It did end up being pricier than I would EVER pay for clothes at the store, but seriously… these clothes were dropped off at my doorstep and practically fit me in every way possible (style & comfort!).  I’m considering getting the whole batch because you get that whopping 25% discount if you do.  The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the white shirt, but in the end, I think I’ll be happy with it.  If you don’t mind, comment below on which items I should get or if you think I should bite the bullet and purchase the entire fix.

I have decided to only do Stitch Fix about once a quarter because of the price, but if I can get a great fix once a quarter where I like all the clothes and don’t have to do my own shopping, it may just be worth it.

Thoughts?

It did come with a styling card as well that I’ll find to be useful.
Off White Tab Sleeve Blouse // $45
Skinny Jeans // $88
Fuschia Top // $54
Navy Cardigan (soften piece of clothing I’ve ever worn) // $78
Anchor Necklace // $38
Leave a comment below telling me which items I should keep or if you think I should get the entire fix.  Any help with this decision would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, I loved Stitch Fix, I think my stylist did a wonderful job, my only complaint is the pricing, but like I said, it beats having to scour racks and racks of clothes to more than likely be disappointed with what you find anyways.  Does anyone else have this problem shopping?

I have heard of this service, some of my teachers do it. They too complain about the price but hope that they can reap some benefits before they give it up. I like the white shirt outfit on you.

The white shirt is my favorite, but that is so my style! Still, it gets my vote if you don’t keep the whole box (it’s all cute). Do they allow you to easily “skip” month to month? That’s what’s always keeps me from signing up for stuff like this. I don’t want to be charged if I don’t want anything that month!

I was with you 100% for a while with clothes, I went to Forever 21, Old Navy and Marshall’s and refused to spend over $20 on ANYTHING. Now that I’ve been working for 3 years (and washing my clothes for 3 years), I can see that those pieces really don’t last. Have you seen my “Outfit of the Month” series? (Sorry, mind is a blur this morning). I’m sort of doing the same as you – refusing to buy too much but wanting to invest a bit on good pieces and it really does seem to be working! I can’t remember getting clothes compliments since I started this job and now I get a bunch! That being said, I would keep the white and fuchsia tops! Personally, for me, if they aren’t jeans that I can wear to work on a casual Friday (they look like more of a ripped style?), I don’t spend the money AND I’m still all about the $2 jewelry from Forever since I lose eeeeverything!! haha

definitely keep the jeans- they look great on you and jeans are worth spending a little more money on when they fit properly. I’ve been trying to shop with the motto to not buy something unless I LOVE it because I am guilty of buying so much clothing that is just okay- and then later I get home and feel like I have nothing to wear… Yet I have a closet full of clothes.

Well the 25% off discount is certainly alluring because if there’s just one piece that isn’t your favorite–it seems like the price to buy all the pieces with the discount is cheaper than just buying all but one of the pieces! I could never do Stitch Fix because I actually love shopping. 🙂
