Sending Love!

It’s no secret that I seriously miss my roommates from Disney.  We group message all throughout the day and I knew that I wanted to do something special for them to show them how much I love them.  It’s really difficult for us to handle the long-distance.  I’m here in Mississippi, I have one in Texas, 2 in California, and 1 in New Jersey.

We have a lot of things in common, a lot of the same obsessions: wine, Harry Potter, chinese, chocolate, Mumford and Sons, and… coffee!  I decided to make coffee mugs for each of us so that no matter where we are or what we are doing, it’s as if we are sharing a cup of coffee each morning!  I included the mugs with a sweet note and some mini-reeses!

What you need:
Black Sharpie
Red Sharpie
2 Coffee Mugs
350 degree Oven

This was seriously one of the EASIEST DIY projects I’ve ever done!

1. Practice drawing the states you need to draw and then draw them.
2. Draw a red heart where you want it in the state.
3. Use the bee-line to make a whimsical pattern to the other person’s heart.
4. If you want, make a little message (Miss You!)
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
6. Take a picture of them together so you can send that along to your friend.

My roommates absolutely LOVED this, here are some of the texts I received when they arrived

I was so pleased with the outcome and I love that it made their day!  I miss my roommates so much, but it’s a great feeling to know that I have sisters for life!  I love you girls!
