It’s OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK..

… that I’m secretly excited about it being Thursday so I don’t have to come up with a topic for the day

… to be super excited about drinking this hot chocolate that a friend gave me (because it’s a home-made mix!)

… to be super sore from my runs this week because I’ve realized I have to kick it into high gear for my training

… that I’m just now about to send out my last blogger gift swap (actually, it’s probably not, it should have gone out earlier and I feel awful!)

… to catch up on a ton of reading over Christmas break because you have a lot of free time

… to want to head back to Starkville for just a day or two, for a last chance at alone time before heading off to Disney World (where you’ll be living with SEVEN other girls!)

… to not dress up at all this week really because you’ve had nothing THAT important to dress up for

… to be excited about having a Christmas Party tomorrow night so you CAN have a reason to dress up

… to be happy for the rain, it’s such a beautiful sound outside my window!

Happy Thursday friends!!

#84 Take flowers to my grandfathers grave

There isn’t much to say here except that my grandfather was an amazing man!  I miss him a lot!  I know people always say to find the silver lining in a crummy situation and my silver lining was building a relationship with my cousin during the time of our mourning.  We got the call that my grandfather passed away while we were on our way to Atlanta to visit him.  He was sick, so we knew it was coming soon, but I guess we expected to at least say our last goodbyes and to have the chance to hug him one last time.  It was a very emotional time for our family, but I am forever grateful that it brought me and my cousin closer because she is one of my very best friends now!  I was so honored to leave flowers at my grandfathers grave, it definitely made me feel closer to him.

Even though my parents married young and had kids young and that is not something I had nor have any desire to do at the moment, I am seriously grateful that I have had the opportunity to really get to know each one of my grandparents.  Most of my friends grandparents had already passed away when they were children and they didn’t get the same opportunity I got, so I’m also thankful for that.

Graduation!

I have been SO out of the blogging loop, when I come home, I just don’t take the time to keep up with it.  I promise, I’m going to try to do better!  I figured one thing everyone would probably enjoy are pictures from graduation.  I felt WAY SO SPECIAL because I had a ton of family come in to see me graduate: My cousin, Karla, my Nanny, my Mamal and Papal, My Aunt Karen, Uncle John, cousin Ashley, and cousin Megan, of course, my immediate family, and my boyfriend.  Lots of love on that day!  It was definitely an exciting time, but boy, am I glad it’s OVER! 🙂  I now officially have my degree from Mississippi State University in Marketing!  So here is some picture overload of the fabulous night!!  Be looking tomorrow for a post on completing one my 101 in 1001!
