It seriously needs to be OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It’s OK…

… to totally love what my “Fall into Fall” swap partner game me! Can’t wait to post on it next week!

… to already realize that today isn’t going to be the best

… to plan on going home this weekend, but quite possibly change my mind (I need a rest weekend!)

… to hear the campus police yelling that I’m not allowed on the sidewalk with a bike and to keep going (I mean, what am I suppose to do now? I’m already here!)

… to finally get off the bike on the sidewalk because there were slow walkers in front of me

… to lug my purse and laptop bag while pushing my bike the rest of the way to work because I haven’t been smart enough to put everything in a backpack yet

… to do the previously mentioned with a broke sandal on my left foot

… to feel pain from throwing away my sandals when I arrived at work because I broke them on the bike ride to work

… to have a butterfinger, and possibly starbucks soon, and maybe some chick-fil-a, because I’m not liking today and those things bring me comfort (Do you have those days too? I’m sure you do! What is your comfort?)

… to get up at 5:30am to go swim only to realize that swim team practice is going on and I can’t (so I left and didn’t work out)

… to be really happy I’m going to yoga today at lunch, I think it will really help me!

… to have a few blog posts in mind now, I feel like I’ve been doing so much better this week and I love it! (Although I was really sad to miss posting yesterday!)

… to be ready for this week to END ALREADY!!!

Hope you’re having a much better Thursday than I am already, Hope you enjoyed a laugh or two about my bike ride to work today (it was eventful!)
What’s OK with YOU?

The Color of Fall along with Q&A!

Hello loves!  So I’ve been informed that the color of fall is MAROON!  Now I’m not sure if everyone has heard that or not, or if there are other colors circulating around, but I really excited to hear that the fall color for the year was maroon because I graduated from Mississippi State and our colors are maroon and white.  My cousin was the one who told me about it and she was super excited too (honestly, probably more than I was) because she graduated from Texas A&M whose colors are also maroon and white!  So we will be racking up on some maroon clothing pieces this year (hopefully!).  I also went with a maroon mani/pedi yesterday to get in the fall spirt because the weather is finally cooling off and it’s just splendid outside!

Also, I wanted to offer a Questions post.  So if you have any BURNING questions (because I’m sure you all do, right?!), I’m an open book, so feel free to ask!  I may consider turning it into a *vlog*, I’ve never done one before I wouldn’t mind dabbling in it!

Happy Tuesday, enjoy this beautiful weather, and wear your maroon!

Feeling good Monday

So it’s been a while since I’ve done a simple update on the blog.  I know I’ve only been writing posts for link-ups (lazy, right!?)  I promise I’m trying to come up with material, but I’ve been so busy with my new job and training and honestly, it hasn’t really been on my mind.  So I thought today I’d just bring ya’ll up to speed on my life (Because you all care, right?).
1. Work
I’m growing to love my job more and more!  And I even started a blog specifically for work and what I have going on there!  If you’re interested in checking it out, please do here!  I don’t really talk much about my job as a VISTA on my personal blog so if you don’t know exactly what I do and want to, that’d be a resource to do that!  It’s amazing though how I wasn’t look for this job and it just fell into my lap and each day I become more and more passionate about what I’m doing!
2. Training
Yeah… so about that…. since I moved back to Starkville, I’ve been terrible about working out, so I’m feel gross and fat and out of shape (just so we’re being honest, here!), but I’m working on it, I am.  I have  a triathlon next month that I’m working towards.  I’m really excited because it’s a really short one for beginners just to see if it’s something you may interested in.  It’s a 200y swim, 10 mile bike, and 2 mile run.  Then the weekend after that I have a 5k run I want to do, then on Thanksgiving Day, I have an 8k I want to do, then I want to do the Mississippi Blues Half Marathon again, then possibly start working towards a full marathon.  Wish me luck… for real!
3. Splurging
Luckily, I’m about to start getting reimbursed for A LOT of stuff dealing with work and then I also have a tax refund coming my way, so I’m working on ideas of how to save for certain things I want to do.  I’m not gonna lie, a trip to Disney World and New York have made it’s way onto this list.  I also need a new blinker and horn for the car, that’s top priority!  But another thing I don’t really spoil myself with, but I think I’m gonna start are manicures and pedicures!  I think they make you feel like a million bucks and make a huge difference in your confidence, so I’ll be doing that soon! yay!
4. A new addition
My best friend from Kindergarten is like family to me!  Our families are really close!  Her brother married a German girl who I just adore and she helps me practice my German, so I love her!  Anyways, they have been expected a precious baby girl and she arrived TODAY!  I will gladly share with you the 2 pictures I got via text this morning!  Enjoy this beautiful bundle!  She will make your Monday happy!

Have a wonderful week friends, hope to be seeing more of you!
