Dear Friday, I have about a 7 hour drive today, please make it peaceful and help it go by fast!  Dear Louisville, what an AMAZING city you are!! I never thought I’d like anything in Kentucky due to personal reasons, but you were a real treat!  Dear bloggers, be prepared for picture overload from my trip to Louisville.  Dear Sunday Silence, Congrats on winning the Kentucky Derby the year of my birth!  Dear Friday Night, you’ll be celebrated with a little champaign over reaching 148 followers by the end of February.  Dear blog friends, I apologize, this week has been super crazy because of being at a work conference and I hope to get caught up on blog reading and commenting this weekend!  Dear Home Town Hoppers, can’t wait for y’all to join Ashley and I for the Home Town Hop Link-up next Tuesday, March 5th!  I’m excited to see some of your favorite parts of your home town! : )

Hi there friends! Hey ya’ll!  I’m Kayla.  Imagine that being said in an incredibly southern accent, 😉  I was so excited to get to blog on Heather’s blog today.  One- she’s pretty, right? Everyone loves pretty friends..c’mon.  Admit it. 🙂  Two- She is real.  I have this thing about bloggers being real.  I’m thankful for finding girl’s like her! 🙂 and Three- She’s a MS girl like me!  We are the cherries on top! 😉

So, when it got settled I would swap blogs with Heather today the next big challenge was “What do I write about?” Well… today’s answer is – Mississippi and my wedding. 🙂

I’m a small town Mississippi girl.  Like really.. it’s small folks.  We just got liquor voted in this year.  It’s 2013… most of you have had it in your hometowns since birth.  Life is slow around here. LOL. Wait, how did I get off talking about liquor?! That has nothing to do this with post.  Ignore that. 

So, small town.  This is my small town.

Here we are on the map.. up in the corner. 😉  I’m a tri-state girl.  I’m minutes away from the TN/AL lines!

No, not today.  Back in “the day..”

I am proud to be from a small town.  Most people think they are the worst.  I like to think it’s personal.  I don’t know every single person in town (although B thinks I do.. but hey, working at a bank does that!) but I feel like I belong here.  It’s a good place to grow and raise a family.

So, speaking of family- I’m a little over 6 months away from getting married.  It’s pretty much the best thing that’s ever happened to me.  My fiance, B, is the one that God put on this Earth for me.  He is my best friend, soul mate, and biggest fan! I can’t think God enough for my chance at a life with this man!

So, when we were discussing a wedding venue, I knew I wanted something different.  Being that I live in a small town- most of the places are way over-used.  I felt like since I’ve waited all these years that I wanted something to call my own.  

So one Saturday morning my mother and I went out driving and I think God led me to the perfect place.  Enter Tishomingo State Park.  ((An even SMALLER town in good ole MS!))

There isn’t a picture of our exact location, but just by these two you get the feel for our venue.  It’s very rustic and natural.  That’s completely mine and his style. I can’t wait to become his Mrs. this October.
