This is just a random “life” post which I realized I hadn’t done one of those in a long time! You know the times, all bloggers have them, when you contemplate the things you write about and why you write them. Lately, I feel like I’ve been concerned with followers, and that’s obviously NOT what I truly, deep down, want my blog to be about. I want it to be successful, sure, but I don’t want to lose who I am in the process. This isn’t going to be a long blog post about that or anything because 1. I kind of already wrote one of those not too long ago here and 2. I’ve been seeing posts like that up everywhere lately, but it’s a good thing to be reminded about. So, instead of updating you on another trip or posting up a recipe, I’m just going to update you real fast on my life, because honestly, it seems like the easiest post to write and I’m too lazy to fiddle with a bunch of pictures at the moment! haha
Life has be CRAY-CRAY! Over the past month, I’ve been to Louisville, Alternative Spring Break in the Delta, Memphis, and a few trips home to my parents and then this weekend I’ll be in Houston! I have felt like I’ve been living out of suitcase! In between each trip, I don’t have the time to unpack, get my apartment together, and then re-pack. It’s more like, I wash a random load of clothes and keep what’s clean left in my bag and use it when I need it and then just re-pack from there! My apartment is a complete disaster! I live with both of my sisters and I love them to death, but they can’t keep the apartment clean while I’m gone to save a life! I don’t know why that is, but with 3 of us here and we all have super busy schedules with work and school, it just has stayed a hot mess! So I’m excited to say that I have Thursday, Friday, and Monday off! Thursday and Friday to travel to Houston and do a little cleaning before I go, and then Monday to catch up on EVERYTHING after a long month of traveling!
Then there’s me applying for jobs! I need a job in August and I’m pretty scared I won’t have one. I know God will provide and again, I’ve been praying that one up for a while now too! If you have any Marketing or Management positions in your area, feel free to let me know! I’m up for moving as long as I can find myself a good job! My ideal cities at the moment are Houston, Seattle, and New York, but again, anywhere is fine!
I went and saw Oz the Great and Powerful and absolutely LOVED it!! Seriously Disney, you’re so great! I love you! It was such a unique story and I really enjoyed it, although there were times that I wanted to break out in song… “One short day, In the Emerald City… ” don’t worry, I didn’t, but I need to go see WICKED again now!
Also, I’ll be getting a sponsor tab soon! I won’t be charging or anything, it’ll be mostly for blog button swaps, but I want to have it available in the future just in case I start charging (a super low fee, of course) and then I would either just use that money to give to a charity or non-profit organization or use it to sponsor other blogs.
Sorry it’s taken me so long to get this post up! I think I could deem this week, the week of traveling posts! I have Louisville, Alternative Spring Break in the Mississippi Delta, and Memphis to catch y’all up on!
Welcome to….
{The City}
Me and my friends did a lot of sight seeing (well, what was in walking distance of our hotel) during some of our free time!! It was a really neat place and the atmosphere was great!
There was interesting art everywhere!!!!
{Harvest}
This place was AMAZING!!! It is a locally grown restaurant and all the products they serve are locally grown around Louisville. I got the hamburger and potato chips which, as you can tell, were delicious! We also ordered a meat and cheese tray with a bread tray and everything on those were delicious! I strongly suggest that if you ever visit Louisville, eat at this restaurant called Harvest, you will NOT regret it!
{Churchill Downs – The Kentucky Derby!}
The horse that won the Kentucky Derby the year I was born!
They had these awesome racing horses that you can play with!
Can you imagine wearing these hats!?
Honestly, there are plenty more pictures, but I’m getting tired of uploading haha, so I’m cutting it short!
It was so great though because at the end of our trip, I was able to cross the Indiana border which is helping me knock off one of my 101 in 1001 which is to visit 5 new states! I was also able to visit another state this past week that you’ll hear about in a later post!
Louisville was a fabulous city and I really enjoyed spending time there!
Hopefully we will meet again and I can come for the Kentucky Derby one year!
