So a few months ago I hosted a “Blog Workshop” at my apartment for a few friends who are interested in starting blogs. Like the good Southern hostess that I am, I set up some snacks for their enjoyment and a little display that went along with our topic for the night. I’ve won quite a few things through blogging and I’m also a participant of a few programs that reward bloggers and I wanted to show them what they could be doing through blogging and the opportunity they have to be a part of some great incentive programs!
What I’m reading…
I’ve been reading some really fabulous posts lately that I thought It’d be a good idea to share them. I’m not gonna lie (although, you’ll already know this..) but this wasn’t my original idea, of course! I’ve seen bloggers share what they’ve read throughout the past week that they think their readers would enjoy and I think it’s an excellent idea. So, without further adieu, I’d love for you to check out some of these fabulous bloggers and what they’ve been chatting about this week!
Kelly @ Kelly’s Korner talks about Trust and right now this topic is hitting home for me due to the job search and life changes I’m facing. I need to trust that God has everything under control. I have also had multiple discussions over the past few months about our hearts desires and a portion of the verse she shares says that if you delight in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart. That just affirms what I’ve been thinking and praying!
Samantha @ Hooah & Hiccups talks about Changes in relationships and how she’s viewing those changes and finding ways to feel more blessed instead of sad about those changes. I think this is something we all go through and struggle with as we go through college and graduate and end up spaced out from our friends. It’s a good read and a good reminder!
Rachel @ The Random Writings of Rachel talks about sacrificing/serving in her relationship even when it’s not easy or fun anymore! It was a beautiful reminder of what a Christ-centered relationship should be, or any relationship for that matter! Sometimes it takes a little more effort to be of service to your significant other. At times we succeed at that, like Rachel did, but there are also times we fail at that and it’s nice to be reminded.
Becky @ From Mrs. to Mama shares how to make some money blogging! I don’t make any money blogging right now, with the exception of free products from companies. It’s definitely something I may consider in the future though if I need to make some money on the side. I enjoyed getting great tips for it. This may be for you or it may not be, but if you need a little extra money or just want a little extra money for a vacation or large item you’re saving for… you may be interested in reading this post!
**I shared these posts with you because I got great information or perspective from them and really enjoy reading from these ladies every day! This was my first time to do a post like this, but I really enjoyed picking out great content to share with y’all and I look forward to keeping future posts like this in mind as I read your blogs!
Hope you’re having a great Monday sweet friends! Thank you for the kind comments and prayers from yesterdays post where I shared my heart about finding a job and praying God’s will for my life over this next season I’m entering!! Y’all are the greatest!

Good Morning Loves!
I’ve enjoyed a great weekend so far and it will be continuing on until Monday. I’m pretty sure y’all don’t think I’m working at all right now because I keep talking about these days off I have and honestly, sometimes I feel the same way! I just had so many vacay days to use up before August that they all kind of found themselves around this time. It’s been nice and relaxing.
I’m sending a request for prayers right now. I’m still on the job hunt, but I have one scenario right now that I’m considering. I’m praying about it a lot because it’d be a huge leap of faith, but it’s something I think I would love and be good at, but there are definite things to consider as I make my decision. I don’t feel like I’ve prayed this much over where God is leading me in a while, but I know that my desire is to follow in his steps and be right where he wants to plant me and grow me. I am leaning more towards a certain way, but I want to make sure it’s what he wants. Prayers would be greatly appreciated as I continue interviewing and seeking out what’s best for me at this time!
Over the past few days since I’ve been away, I’ve also come up with my fitness plan for the next year and I’m excited about it! As most of you know, I was having some anxiety over this triathlon coming up in August and the swimming seriously freaks me out. I wish it wasn’t this way, but it is. I decided to not do that triathlon, but I found out about another one that’s in September and it’s still a measly little beginner one.
125y POOL SWIM! (Doing a happy dance right now!), 10m bike, 2m run. And I have until September. I think this race will be good for me because it’ll get me doing a triathlon without having horrid flashbacks to how my swim went last time in open water. It’ll get me confidant again in triathlons and I’m hoping get me geared up to train for a lengthier one next summer.
My plan: Begin training in August for Disney Wine&Dine Half-Marathon. During this training, incorporate my super sprint triathlon training on x-train days. After the Half, continue with training to complete a Full Marathon (It’s on my fitness bucket list, why not now!?). Complete that in January or February. After the Full, begin hard-core triathlon training to complete a legit tri next summer.
I’m getting geared up and ready for Jamey’s wedding next weekend! I’m so blessed to be a part of her special day. She actually posted this sweet message on facebook yesterday, it made me blush! 🙂
