I believe…

I got this idea from one of my favorite bloggers, {Lori @ a crazy walk on the safe side}.  You can view her “i believe…” post, {here}!

Carribean Beach Resort at Disney World!

I believe…

… in a perfect cup of coffee on a cold morning

… in always being there for family

… that a clean apartment, a candle lit, and coffee in hand makes for a perfect day

… that God loves me even though I’m no where near perfect

… that peanut butter is healthy in any quantity (good protein, yo!)

… in not taking relationships for granted

… you should live in the present, not hope for the future (although I struggle with this A LOT)

… in giving to others, but finding ways to treat yourself

… that hospitality is a virtue (after all, I am a Mississippian)

… in sticking up for the underdog

… that Disney World is the BEST place to vacation now!

… in raising a child to be respectful, generous, hard-working, and caring (although I don’t have any children, so I realize I can’t say much on this)

… that knowing what it is that brings you comfort is vital if you want to get through the challenges in life, sometimes you need those guilty pleasures to find the strength later to pick up the pieces of a disaster

… in nurturing relationships, they will only grow as much as you let them

What do YOU believe in?

Also, I’m planning on doing my VERY FIRST Vlog! It’s going to be a general “get to know me” vlog, I love having a face with a name with a voice, so I’ll just be talking about generic things about myself, but if you have ANY questions about me, my life, my time at Disney, running, Kawasaki Disease (bet you’re curiosity is getting at you now! haha), my job, my family, my pets, WHATEVER, then feel free to ask me from NOW until NOV. 12. I’ll be filming the vlog Monday night, so send me some questions friends!
It will post TUESDAY, NOV. 13!

DIY Projects {Pinterest Edition}

I have my eye on a lot of pinterest projects right now, so I thought I would share some of those with you!  Some of these may not be happening anytime soon, but some of them I have on my blogging schedule to work on this month and post!  Let me know which ones you think would be the best to do, I’d love to hear your opinions on my DIY project dreams!

I would obviously make this for Mississippi, with my heart in Jackson, but another friend of mine really wants to make this together so I think we may tackle this project over Christmas break!

This gives you ideas on gifts, I’d like to pre-make a few of these for house warming parties, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

I have never done an advent calendar, I grew up baptist and never even knew what advent was until about 4 years ago when I started dating Nick, so I’d think it’d be pretty cool for me to learn a little more about his denomination and share this project together.  He would love to help me build this Christmas tree and then I’ll be in charge of getting the presents wrapped, but I think it’d be a great fun project for us as a couple.

I think this is adorable! I love wine and I love having parties, so I think these would be just the things for serving cheeses and jams during the holidays!

I think this is a stylish/classy way to store matches and I love lighting candles, so I would just like to have one of these canisters on display

Nick and I really need some new options besides watching How I Met Your Mother every night, so I’d like to make us a jar to draw fun things for us to do, I’ve seen these around the blog world a lot, so I actually jumped the gun sooner than expected and made one of these this past weekend, you can check it out Wednesday!

*I’m not gonna lie, I have so many more things on my pinterest board that I want to share with y’all, but we can save those for another day! I’m sure I’ll be busy enough just with these!*

So which ones do you like the best?  Which ones should I definitely be making by the end of the year?

By the way, I joined in on this Blog Hop today, you should check it out!

Things I’m horrible at!

First, I’d like to mention that I just made my FB page public, it’s not completely ready to go and there is NOTHING on it yet, but if you don’t mind “liking” my FB page on my right hand side bar right below my ‘GFC followers’ blimp, I’d greatly appreciate it!
______________________________________________________

I saw {this} post on Cait’s blog @ {Fierce Fabulous and Fit} and wanted to give it a go myself.  You should definitely check out her blog and watch the really funny video attached to the idea behind this post.  The premise is that everyone always boasts about what they are good at and a lot of the time people expect you to be good at everything, but that’s just not the case, so Cait did it and now I’m about to do it and post some of the things that I am HORRIBLE at!

In general…
Painting my nails, they are usually just bare because I screw them up so bad

Forcing myself to wake up early enough in the morning for a run (working on it!)

Cooking things that splatter

Memorization

Remembering why certain people in history are important and what they did

Physics, it just sucks!

Taking pictures (as you can probably tell from all of my outfit posts lately)

Saying the right thing in a bad or awkward situation

Disciplining myself with chocolate

Being rational (with silly things that don’t matter as much as I make them matter)

Singing

Dancing (like… REALLY horrible, unless it’s a line or choreographed dance)

In the blogging world…
Editing photos for posts (I am actually learning though, just started dabbing in picasa)

keeping up with reading blogs (I get to like 250 and then just decide to start over and I miss like 250 posts from y’all, I’m sorry… true confession here)

Figuring out the world of linking up, sponsoring, etc.

Hope you enjoyed seeing a few of the things that I am just plain horrible at!  What are you horrible at!?
