Housekeeping

Good morning, well close to afternoon I guess!  I’m on my lunch break so I decided to catch up on some blogging.  Have a few housekeeping things to share with you!
{1} New Design
Right now, as I type, I’m having a beautiful new design being made!  It looks wonderful y’all, really!  I think as I start using it, I may make a change here and there, but as of right now, it’s just perfect!  It embodies what I want my blog to be about and it highlights my love for my beautiful State.  Kristen over at {Whiskey.Tango.Foxtrot} has been so easy to work with and really created something I know I’m going to love for years!  So be excited, it should be up on the blog this week!

{2} My 100 follower giveaway
My first giveaway is officially over and I was excited to announce the winner!  I got a lot of positive feed-back about the Personalized String Art {You can check it out here}!  I wish I had the time and money to make each and every one of my fabulous followers one!  I would like to let y’all know though that if you’re very interested in having one and don’t want to take the time to make it yourself, I’d love to sell you one!  They’ll go for around $35 + shipping.  You can pick the colors you want and the state you want, where you want the heart.  It’ll be exactly what you want!  Feel free to e-mail me if you’re interested!

{3} Guest Bloggers
I’m looking for some guest bloggers/commentors. I did a post last week about being from and living {In the South..} I wanted to expand upon that idea!  (I actually had a lot of comments about doing a follow up piece).  I’m looking for a guest blogger to post about being from/living in the North, or offering up some comments about being from/living in the North and I will compile a blog post of everyone’s comments.  I’d also like comments or a blog post on a Northerner’s view of the South, you can feel free to be completely honest.  I know that a lot of the Southern Stereotypes exist such as wearing no shoes, having no teeth, living in the boonies, all that jazz, so feel free to be honest, you won’t hurt my feelings.  I may disagree with some things, but that’s the whole point!  I know Honey Boo Boo sure didn’t improve the South’s look.

{4} Trade your blog for a day
I’d love to trade my blog for a day with another fellow blogger!  I’m looking for someone to write a blog post on whatever fancies them and allow me to do the same, in exchange, we can promote each other, encourage each other, and maybe gain a few more friends! If you’re interested, then leave a comment with your e-mail address, or you can e-mail me directly at heatherblack79@gmail.com.
*This is us, being best friends now! yay!*

{5} A link-up
I’m contemplating a new link-up… I just want to get some feedback on whether or not you’d join in, if you like the topic or if I’m just lame (really, be honest!), and what days you think would be the best to have a link up along with how frequently!  I’d really like to do something with home-towns.  A day where everyone can link-up and share something exciting that happens in their home town, a wonderful place to eat in their hometown, basically just promoting where you live and why you love living there!  So… ready… set… GO!  Give me them thoughts!

Enjoy your Monday!

Cant wait to see the new blog design, sounds like lots of exciting things happening in your part of the world ๐Ÿ™‚ I like the idea of a link up its not lame at all! I think Mondays are good days to kick off the start of the week and maybe talk about something that happened in your town on the weekend. Although you do have readers from the other side of the world (Australia!) so not all of the posts will be doable for everyone but I guess variety keeps it interesting ๐Ÿ™‚

I can’t do a blog swap over the next month thanks to the bar exam, but if you’re at all interested in guest posting at my blog I’d love to have you! ๐Ÿ™‚

(Disclosure: this is going to be a long comment.)

    1. Soooo excited for your new design!!
    2. I might have to take you up on a string art for a friend’s birthday – I will let you know.
    3. I’m from the North! I’ll write a guest post. I actually went to a Northern college but we played in the Big South athletic conference so every year we went to the south for the championship and my teammates were BRUTAL to you poor Southerners! haha
    4. Or I’ll trade with you!! I went to Ikea this weekend, so I already have my half of that text convo ready ๐Ÿ˜‰ I should have thought of jumping out of a wardrobe like that lol.
    5. Linkup sounds fabulous! I’ll get back to you if I think of any ideas, but that hometown thing sounds great. I would maybe promote hometowns artists that you can find on Etsy or something. Maybe Tuesday would be a good day for one?
    6. Told you this comment would be excessive, but hope you enjoyed. Have a good rest of your Monday! xo
